Easily one of Ottawa's best restaurants!
Consistently good food and friendly service. Their chicken biryani and bhel puri were a hit among my friends recently. The owner is a very nice man and I've even had them cater for me.
This is amazing food. Never had bad food and the owner is super nice. I would recommend this place over and over. Try everything at least once

Best curry in Ottawa. By far the best Indian curry in Ottawa. I have been going there for year and consistency is spot on, I have never been disappointed.
Excellent!. Party of 5 ordering chicken/beef combos. Everybody agreed the food was extremely delicious. I especially liked the naan bread.

I WISH........... ..................food like this came from my parents kitchen. If it did, I would not have dismissed curries, and Indian/Punjabi food in general as the worst food ever. This place reminded me of what good food should taste like. Complex flavours, and fresh ingredients make all the difference in the world. We will be eating here at least 4 or 5 times a month form now on!
There is a reason Shaan is so popular! The food is excellent, fresh, and served VERY fast. Awesome curries and complex flavours (particularly in the Bombay Biryani). Prices are very fair if not low for the quality, and I come to Shaan any time I want curry-in-a-hurry.

Fairly Good, as expected.. Good, that's all there is really to say about it. Nothing extraordinary, nothing disasterous. They don't play it quite as safe on the spiciness as other Indian restaurants, which is how like it... but I'm sure they'd mellow it down for you if you asked.
Fantastic food. Wouldn't hesitate to go here again. Mainly a takeout place but it has a few tables you can sit down at. Owner was really friendly. Loved it.
Delicious food!!! Definitely by far best Indian food place in Ottawa. I love coming here! They never let me down. Yummy I literally have had everything on their menu it does not disappoint in any way. Worth coming to!! I just had the Allo tikki chaat the other day so tasty, crispy and saucy and full of flavour just the way I like it yum!! To the samosa to the chicken butter or curry. And the vegetable curry/ lamb dishes.I’m always in heaven here!! Amazing people that work there super friendly and great service!! Great price I’ll see you in a few days haha
The absolute best Indian curry in town! When I worked nearby we used to order lunch from owner Pal weekly as a big group. I've really missed it since relocating, but I'm trying hard to make it back regularly these days because there's simply no substitute!
We just went there for a soccer match from toronto. My kids loved their Briyani.. and wanted to have it again on the same day. Their curries were good and the big meal was a good option.The naan was soft. Definitely a go to place for Indian food.

We've been coming here for years and they consistently serve up the most delicious Indian food with a smile. If you're in the mood for Indian, highly recommend. Food is always top notch, prices can't be beat and their service is always friendly and stellar. Tiny spot so I don't think many people know about it, truly a hidden Gem 👌
