The service was attentive, and the food was delicious, just what we were looking for. It was probably the fourth or fifth place we walked into, because we were looking for some place that wasn’t too loud on a Friday night. This was it! I appreciated the variety on the menu, that it wasn’t just burgers and fries.
Clocktower was an amazing find after a long day of touring around the city. It was so nice to actually have a s selection of gluten free and vegan food and my boyfriend loved the selection of craft beers they offered. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and our waiter Tom was the best! This place completely fits in with the friendly vibe Ottawa offers and we will totally return here on our next visit!
Really great pub and the food is quite good - the kimchi fries are a must, they are amazing! I also like the beer selection, and this is coming from a person who doesn't even like beer to begin with. They have a lot of interesting flavours, such as raspberry wheat and (this might be limited edition) pumpkin ale. It's spacious, clean and conveniently located in the market. Surprised I didn't discover this place sooner, love it.
Been there a number of times over the past few months with friends and the service has always been good, peak hours or no.
Was always acknowledged and brought to a table within a minute of walking in the door, menus and specials were given upon being seated.
The cocktails I've ordered are cheaper than other places I've visited in the area, so that's a plus. Food, on the other hand, is expensive, though that is expected for any pub. Waitress comes by often and offers to top up our refreshments.
Overall a pleasant experience.
I really enjoy the beer, but the byward location is dingy and needs a touch up. My arms stuck to the table because of the aging varnished tables.
Good beer, time for a reno.
Great Nachos. Stopped in here for a beer and nachos last night. I was a little hesitant because of the $14 price tag, which is pretty standard for Ottawa but still feels like a lot, but I was pleasantly surprised. You get quite a bit for your money - even split between two people, it wasn't easy to finish. The chips were tasty, albeit a little too salty for my taste, and the nachos had lots of toppings (salsa, green onion, jalapenos, and tons of cheese). Plus, the service was great - the place was packed and we still got our stuff in five minutes! Will definitely be back.
Good Beers. Reasonably priced menu. I had a curry, and my wife had the three cheese quesida. Both were very good. Service was prompt and friendly and the beer was excellent. I had the Bitter,.....my wife had a light lager.
Sat out on the back patio which was very comfortable.
R And T's Food Review
+4.5
Great traditional style pub with unique selection of local brew. Their Rasberry wheat was especially refreshing on a hot summer day. Decent burgers. Great atmosphere and good service.
I frequent this bar multiple times a week. Great service, great beers, great food. One of the more welcoming and relaxed places In the market.
Great Beer. Went there with some friends last night. Place was practically full so we sat at the bar and was served by Carly. She was cute and funny and let us know there was no seasonal beer but suggested the "BrownBerry" - it was superb. Ate the special CT Brisket and it was delicious. Sens won in Overtime and the place erupted in cheers. Only downside was that they didn't have volume on for the game. Will definitely be going back. Thanks Carly!
