This place is amazing, definitely a new favorite. Before being seated, I was already wowed by their decor. It's so cute and definitely highlights the effort put in to make this place special. We were seated quickly and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. An example of staff who are actually attentive and make you feel like they want you there. The bartender was chatting with everyone at the bar, walking around and checking on tables and doing whatever little things he could to improve guest experiences and doing it all with the most pleasant attitude. The decor, the staff, the layout of the restaurant and the music all come together to create a really great atmosphere. And of course, the most important part, the food, was delicious. The portions are just the right size and the prices fit them perfectly. This was one of the best restaurant experiences I've had in a while. I was there less than twelve hours ago and I'm already thinking about going back.
Really great service and great food. Had the Tan Tan ramen and I thought it was good for a place that makes their food in-house. The nigiri is awesome. The price definitely reflects the quality of fish used.
Decor is amazing... Was mind blown in how detailed it looked. Definitely will see myself coming back!
I had a chance to come with a few friends and try a few dishes. They were were great. We tried the ramen, takoyaki, karrage, tuna tataki and some drinks. The ramen is good especially the broth and pork belly. It is great not to have to line up for good ramen in Ottawa. I love fried food so the karrage and takoyaki were awesome. The karrage especially was my favourite since I recently came back from Japan and are an abundance of Japanese fried chicken. The twist here is in the sauce. When i asked, I was told they make a yuzu mayo in house! It's a must try for sure. The tuna was very good, I would love to come by and try some of the other sushi. Getting red tuna in Ottawa is not the easiest so it was very enjoyable. The drinks were awesome, I started with a beer of course (Asashi) and I then I tried the cocktails. In Japan a very popular drink is "Chu Hai" which they have here! It was amazing, I'm glad to be able to try some of the stuff I had when I was in Japan, in Ottawa. Additionally I tried the Blushing Geisha which was great! It's fruity, has yuzu and is alcoholic. I could not ask for anything else in a drink.
