This is no watered down bulk produced coffee. This is coffee with flavour and style. Best coffee in Westboro. Ordered some focaccia to go but since I was killing some time sipping my coffee the young man behind the counter kept my food wrapped up and warm until I was ready to leave. It is the little things that make the experience great.
We went for lunch today and really enjoyed the food and the espresso. Very friendly service and helpful in suggesting pasta /sauce combinations.
Lots of vegetarian options. Everything was homemade and delicious. I will be going back.
Always excellent fresh pasta, salads, sandwiches and tiramisu - eat in, take out or cook at home. The cheese and spinach ravioli are the best!
Best pasta in Ottawa - also very fairly priced. Sure, it's more of a bistro than a fancy restaurant, but if you care about the food you will come here often. Portions are weighed out so you can get as little or as much as you'd like, and they sell their fresh pasta and sauces so you can cook them at home as well. On our first visit, the guy working the counter took a raviolo and split it open for us to show us how the filling was pure butternut squash (and not cut with breadcrumbs like other vendors in Ottawa...), and let me tell you, it showed in the taste.
The meatball sub is unbelievable, their porchetta is mouthwatering, and their mini-cannoli are hard to turn down, the filling perfectly smooth and not too sweet. You can tell everything is made in house with care towards the quality of their ingredients. Haven't had a chance to try their coffee but I imagine it's also high-quality. A gem!
Visited March 2016 - pictured is the fried mushroom rotolo
Went to Pietro's Corner for the first time last week after getting great reviews from my friends. I ordered pasta with sauce (which they price by weight) and it was the best pasta I've ever had. Normally I'm not too keen on pasta but it was very good and fresh (you can tell that they make it in-house). I also ordered a crepe with fruit for dessert, and it was probably one of the best crepes I've had surprisingly. The environment is great, the food was amazing, great value (great qualify for the price), and it's a very beautiful restaurant. I'll definitely be going their often, and I'd recommend everyone going at least once even if they're not the biggest fan of pasta.
Went for my first visit today and had spaghetti with Bolognese sauce, They cook the pasta in front of you then mix it with your sauce of choice in a pan, Served hot! I found the sauce was good but not much vegetables (if any) or even meat in it. They don't even provide salt and pepper at the tables. They also seemed to be a bit unorganized, My meal was ready from the pan but the cook had no plate to put it on he had to get some from the back of the house. I think it's just a matter of time. Next visit I will try one of the deli sandwiches.
I had a pretty darn good sandwich at Pietro's.
Walk around the side of the counter to order. It's a little tight, and hot, as it's right next to the hot pastas. Pickings were a little on the slim side when I arrived for a late lunch, and there were no vegetarian sandwiches. I opted for a variety of mild cold cuts on a bun. Sandwich "extras" included mustard, mayo, lettuce, and tomato. I was a little surprised there was no option of peppers or pickled eggplant - my fave! - as per other Italian eateries. Oh well! It was fine without. The sandwich was brought to my table warmed up, which was welcome, with a few olives added to the plate. Along with an Orangina it was a very pleasant - and inexpensive - lunch. There are a couple of small tables out front overlooking Richmond Road too.
I'm looking forward to coming back to try their coffee, desserts, and fresh pastas!
Really nice place. Friendly Italian owner. The pasta and the sauce were both better than anything I have had in a while. Cool open and bright concept. Take out and eat in. The tiramisu was also very good, just the right balance. Can't wait to return and try other dishes.
Went here for a mid morning meeting. The staff is super friendly and more than happy to share their story and keep you company if you're waiting alone. It has a nice neighbourly homegrown atmosphere which I love! The pastries are wonderfully soft without being oily and greasy and you can chat with the staff as they make your coffee. There's a full sized pasta bar with hommade pasta and homemade BREAD! I'm dying to try these and will be back sooner rather than later. Kristin L.
At Pietro's Corner it's about the experience and it's about the food. The pasta/salad/antipasto is priced by weight. Authentic pastries are served by a friendly and kind Sicilian man who jokingly complains that nothing here tastes as good as it does in Sicily. The pasta is boiled in front of your face, the coffee is strong, and despite the contemporary layout and decor, the place feels like home....

Great customer service, beautiful and clean interior. Tons of natural light and great food for a good price.
Looks like a coffee shop but more like an Italian restaurant, pasta is great with the special white sauce, the other dishes are a bit overpriced. The staffs are very friendly.
The coffee is fantastic and the food is to die for. Great place to grab a bite and rest your feet.
The BEST gluten free pasta and sauce I have ever had! I’ve spent so much money trying new Italian restaurants and I’m always so disappointed. This ravioli was the best I’ve ever had! My partner had the regular cannelloni and ravioli and said it’s the best he’s had too! HIGHLY recommend you will not be disappointed! We went to the Preston St location but there’s one in Westboro too. Do yourself a favour and get this pasta for your dinner tonight! 🙂
Delicious. I can recommend the Chicken & Garlic and Eggplant & Garlic flavours highly (even for those who don't enjoy eggplant most of the time!). Had the alfredo last week and my goodness that was a great sauce, I'm still going on about it days later. Can't wait to get more!
I can't recommend this place enough. The manager is extremely helpful and really helped me pick out the perfect food for a special dinner. The flavours are out of this world and is honestly better than any other pasta place in the city. The meal turned out great, and I was even able to pick up some La Bomba.
Thanks to Pietro's Corner Preston, and to the woman who gave me a hand. Couldn't have done it without you.
Great spot for cup of espresso and biscotti. Great interior. Have not tried pasta dishes but all looked good. Next time will try. Biscotti was delicious and well as espresso. The sell cannoli as well, which they fill before serving.
Amazing fresh pasta, amazing gelato. Top spot to check out. The focaccia is also superb. A must try. Me and my mom love stopping in after a grocery shop at luchianos. Really recommend this beautiful pasta shop.
