Talk about joie de vivre! Every gluten free eater--whether they are new to the gluten free way of life or have been following a gluten free diet for years--has experienced the challenges of this dietary restriction at one time or another. It can be hard enough to source appropriate products from our local grocery stores, let alone try to find something appropriate on a restaurant menu. For years, unless we specifically chose to patronize health-conscious restaurants, it was either next to impossible to order a meal guaranteed to be gluten free or the options offered were so bland and unappealing that eating out lost its appeal. Fortunately, things have gotten easier and easier for gluten free diners with every passing year. As awareness of gluten sensitivity has spread, so too have the options available to those of us who need to avoid gluten. The only thing that I have been completely unable to find is decadent, French-style pastries... Until now!

Not only is this the most impressive gluten free business I have ever been to in 25 years, with an incredible selection of sweets as well as gourmet food - the service was incredible and caring. They made my day. While on the patio enjoying my grilled sandwich I convinced others to come inside : )

Excellent service and the food is sooo amazing. When in Ottawa you have to come here for brunch/lunch/dinner! The owner here is great she treats you like family. While we were having brunch two customers walked in just to say thank her for the great food.

Food was tasty and service was good. My friend and I were the only ones there. They asked us to sit and they served us the food. It wasn’t perfect but it was still great. Hence I give it four stars. Can’t go wrong trying it out. Their vanilla latte is also very tasty and good quality.

This place is an absolute paradise for anyone with Celiac disease. Not only is everything (I mean everything) certified gluten-free but it actually tastes really good too. I'm happy to invite friends and family to come here with me and know that we'll all be able to find something good to eat. Their loaves of bread are without a doubt the best-tasting gluten-free ones I've found to date. I'm also astounded by their wide assortment of puff pastry based items including croissants and sausage rolls. 100% recommend checking this place out!

They had sausage rolls the last two times I went! I don't know how they manage to make the pastry flaky when it's gluten free but I'm happy they do. A great selection of reasonably priced gluten free food. I like their meal option (2 sides and 1 main). It's easy to order 2 meals worth of food rather than 1 (because you generally go in hungry and they have a lot of variety). Their store hours posted on Google and their website don't always match their actual store hours. Hours are longer in the summer and shorter in the colder months. Their staff is friendly and beyond helpful. Love this place.

Pretty good GF food (but not the greatest). I had great service when I went, but the food is the business. I can recommend the cheese danish (as long as you're okay with thick pastry and less filling), otherwise, I'm still looking for my go-to place. PS - the best looking foods are the least tasty, based on the 6 things I tried.

Wonderful find in Ottawa's in Byward Market. It is a bake shop, restaurant, catering service and everything is gluten-free. No table service.. order at the counter and the food is delivered by a staff member. They have a cracker jack pastry chef (awesome cactus inspired chocolate Easter bunnies for example). Checkout the salads, sold by weight... Especially the beet fennel, orange salad

Recently found out I am gluten intolerant...found this location on google search while in Ottawa. Tried it and will definitely be going back! We had the chicken pesto sandwich with gumbo and a peanut butter cookie....all of which were amazing! Never thought gluten free would be so delicious! Made me much happier about my health changing my eating habits.
