After a few of my favourite sushi places in Mississauga closed- I decided to venture out of my city and found this gem! The sushi and other items on the menu always taste so fresh- even the deep fried spring rolls taste like they were made in the morning! Love starting off with the miso soup and mango salad is very tasty! I've only tried this place at dinner time, but well worth the drive!
This place is honestly a hidden gem! We came here for my sister's birthday dinner, and were thoroughly but pleasantly blown away. The fish was fresh, and beautifully served. The service was top notch, albeit a bit slow due to the verbal ordering method. I absolutely loved the ikura presentation. When we asked the waitress which ice cream flavour she recommended, she suggested mango - and it was a fantastic recommendation, for the mango was so creamy in texture and fruity on flavour! Will definitely return, but am hoping it won't raise prices anytime soon!
My fiancé and I were in Oakville so we decided to try this sushi place out after reading good reviews on Google. We have eaten sushi all over Ontario. We're from St. Catharines and we normally frequent Wind or August 8 in Hamilton. The menu for lunch is smaller than Wind or August 8 and doesn't have as much variety as these two places. If you want more Thai, go to Wind. If you want more Dim Sum, go to August 8.
In our experience, for authentic Japanese menu items (some Thai curry was there as well) this is the place to go. I was really happy that they had things like Chicken Katsu for an AYCE appetizer as I normally only eat Chicken Katsu at Amakara in St. Catharines (which is not AYCE Japanese cuisine).
The ambiance was very nice. We got to pick our booth by the window. We ordered edamame, seaweed salad (bigger portion than we are used to which was great), Japanese Curry Rice bowl with Chicken (AMAZING!!!) and a selection of rolls. Our favorite roll was the Spicy White Tuna Roll.
The taste of the sushi, curry and chicken teriyaki was absolutely amazing. We really loved everything that we had and we would definitely drive to Oakville for sushi here in the future. The portions were bigger than Wind and August 8 and the sashimi was thicker. We don't want to go to other places we normally eat at because the sushi tasted so good.
The service was also prompt and the waitresses were very polite. Overall, we had a great time.
Picked the place by chance and then read the reviews. The food is good and fresh however some of the sushi weren't well presented/put together. However, overall will come back because the food tasted good and @ a great price.
We LOVE this place. Great sushi at a wonderful price!
Yame yummy sushi. Have been here many times for their lunch all you can eat which is quite cheap for the amount of food you can get! Usually order the tempura, and lots and lots of rolls (my favourite being the philadelphia roll), and love the deep fried ones too. It's great sushi, fresh and always great presentation. Place to go for AYCE!
Great First Visit !. New to Oakville, I haven't had the opportunity to try out this sushi restaurant. With 2 guests, we came for lunch and sampled their *buffet* at $14.95 pp. My guest had the sweet & sour soup twice! Love it and everything we sampled was just perfect! Great service and very patient with our questions. Total bill with water and green tea $52.00. And we left very satisfied and for sure we will return. Our only request would be, they should have *gluten-free* soy sauce for those who need that option.
The sashimi was really fresh, the presentation was well done, the service was friendly and the price was right. What more could you want from a night out..... we'll be back for sure!!
Buffet is good and cheap! Great service
Decent Sushi place in Oakville. Generally ok, enjoyed the food and service. On one particular day, the chef went a bit heavy on the mayo, but otherwise My wife and I have been happy with eating here.
