Absolutely the best fish and chips around! When I was growing up our family would go every week and get takeout at that time it was run by the current owner’s parents. 30 years later I still go there with my parents whenever I get the chance. Their homemade onion rings are the best!! Service is second to none and the staff are super friendly! Definitely worth the stop at Bronte Fish and Chips for your next fish supper!
The best fish and chips in the area! Our family has been going to Bronte Fish and Chips since it opened.
Great owners and staff. Very friendly, polite and hard working.
Came here on my first trip to Canada and the staff made us feel so welcome. The fish and chips is truly the best I've ever had. I hope to return when I come back up and try the onion rings!
Just had dinner there and it was our first visit. Enjoyed great friendly service and good fish &chips. Decor is perfectly suited to a fish & chip place and very clean. Thank you!
Old style homely environment, fish n chips were so nice and perfect, laid back atmosphere is so good the management and service was excellent with a very personal and polite touch...will always come back
See that? Me taking a big bite out of that delicious piece of fish. The chips were delicious too. Add nice, friendly service and we’ll make this our go-to for family Friday night fish & chips.
Dined here based off of Google reviews and glad to say it was accurate (think it was a 4+ at the time).
The venue felt like it was still all original (like 60s or like a scene in Back to the Future). It seemed clean but dated - almost homey. Reminded me of a pubs in the U.K. I visit. Lot of older white folks in there, kinda reminded me of 'sauga in the 70s - little unnerving if you're not used to it but not a threat.
The foods was decent. Wouldn't say it was equal-to or better than the FnC's you get in U.K. but for local it is definitely up there. Gravy was basic but awesome and the awards they've won reflect their dishes.
Service was decent. Proud server been there for a while and new his products and seemed genuine and efficient. Cute to see the use the 50s style diner slips for your bill.
It does look a bit run down from the outside, depending on your view. Definitely will be visiting again when visiting the area.
This is truly a local, family-run business. In Oakville for many years, the quality of the food is excellent, service is warm and personable; authentic old-style British fish and chips, everything is hand-cut and made to order.
One other thing, the cherry cheesecake is homemade and is fabulous.
