Came with my family on vacation- service was great, food was great, value was great. The smoothies were enjoyed by all as well (coconut being our favourite)!
Recommended by my Massage Therapist, this was the first time we visited this Vietnamese Restaurant. A table for 2, on a Sunday afternoon.
We ordered a 16L and 18S, both were beef noodles soup, & add an appetizer - DF Shrimp Spring Rolls.
The Shrimp Spring Rolls were excellent - the shrimps were tasty and the texture of spring rolls were crispy & crunchy, but not greasy. Thumbs up!
As for the 2 bowls of noodles soup, the meats were good, the broth was a bit salty but still great. The bean sprouts came with the soup were very fresh. However, the quantity of the noodles was relatively small compared to other Vietnamese restaurants. If they could add a little bit more noodles, it would be great.
The overall dining experience was good. We were quite happy because we did not feel thirsty at all after 'drinking' so much broth. Definitely we will be back again.
Excellent service and food at a very good price. I had the number 70. It was cooked very well with a good mix of noodles and meat. I look forward to returning.
I went in with a group of 15 and their overall service was good as well as their food. I would recommend their beef stew noodle soup. It's tasty and a dish I don't normally order but would get there when I go. The restaurant is in need of a Reno because it's dark and old inside. It doesn't deter me since taste, cleanliness and quality of food is what matters to me.
Good pho with reasonable pricing. Very comfortable seating and patient staff. I opted for the house special and it is exactly as you would expect - fresh ingredients, noodles of the right texture and chewiness.
Great Pho!. Pho japolo is one of my favorite pho places in Vancouver and I have put that to the test by trying quite a few from Coquitlam, Richmond, and Vancouver. The broth is great and they serve a good serving of meat in their soups.
The place is always clean and the service is friendly. So if you're hungry and stuck in traffic heading over Lions Gate, I would definitely recommend a pit stop at Pho Japolo.

The Best Pho!. Although I live in Vancouver's West End, I frequently make the trip over the Lion's Gate to go to Pho Japolo. My friends and I came to Pho Japolo for the first time one year ago, and after trying several other Pho joints, this place remains our favourite. The service is great; the ladies have come to know us and know our order. The food comes out really quickly. The crispy spring rolls and Pho Tai are fanstastic. It's worth the trip over the bridge! Yum!
Awesome. This place did not disappoint. I tried the pho and the shrimp spring roll. The broth is flavorful and the ingredients are fresh. The atmosphere is very laid-back; you can watch a hockey game while enjoying the food. The food comes fast and hot- just the way it should be. I will definitely return for more!
The food here definitely deserves the 4+ star rating! The pho broth was flavourful and tasted true to authentic pho. The meat was good quality and great portions. The vermicelli was also tasty and had good portions. The price point is fair priced and the service was relatively quick.
It’s conveniently close to many hotels that it is within walking distance. Although the restaurant’s exterior does look a bit sketchy don’t let it stop you from trying this place out as the food is certainly worth the visit!

If you undermine this restaurant from its look of the building exterior, please do not hesitate to get inside and try what this restaurant offers. Chewy noodles, depth of taste of soup, and lots of ingredients balanced each dish out perfectly. I was very warmed up physically and spiritually!

Do not let the looks fool you. This might be the best Pho I have ever had, and I have had many. This simple looking restaurant makes the tastiest, most delicious broth and noodle combination in Vancouver. They pack everything so neatly and with care, making the whole taking out experience even more enjoyable. Definitely my go to since day one. If you’re in doubt about getting Pho, do not hesitate to order from this place. You will not be disappointed.
It is so easy to miss this place, but if you happen by try their kitchen. They are super freindly, the service is fast and the dishes are simply amazing.
Probably one of the best pho shops I’ve eaten at in YEARS. Ordered the egg noodle soup with dumpling and the minced pork salad roll just last Sunday … to order the exact same thing again today. Ingredients taste fresh and very well packed via take out. 100% recommend.
