Great atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food. My favourite dishes are the turmeric curried mussels, eggplant, and the pad thai. I order them every time! To top off the amazing experience you can have a pint of Steel and Oak beer.
I swear if this place was closer I would be there for lunch every weekend. As it is we drive in from Abbotsford often to experience the best Thai street food ever. Always some good daily specials as well as must have favourites. Chicken wings are addictive!

• Chicken Basil: flavourful, spices are great, flavour marry together. Crispy egg: nice touch!
• Singaporean vermicelli noodles: good as well! Lovely flavours in every strand
• Fried rice: also good, basically everything in this restaurant is worth to have! You won’t be disappointed
• Curry: good amount of coconut and the curry flavour
• Fish/Chicken balls: just like the one in Thailand!
• Pad Thai: well made

I've been wanting to come here for the longest time but they are always closed early so it's been hard to pay them a visit but lately we've been going to new west during the late afternoons so I get to catch them before they close! Of course, I had to try some of their satay skewers and noodle soup and both were amazing! Lots of coconut flavor that reminds you of thai and malaysian cuisine. The price point here is a little higher than most especially for a order at counter joint but it's so worth it!

I’ve heard nothing but good things about Longtail Kitchen so I was expecting big, bold flavours coming in. It’s located in the River Market of the Quay, which also houses one of their sister restaurants, Freebird Chicken Shack. They also have three other spots: Maenam Thai, Fat Mao Noodles and Sen Pad Thai.
On my continued search for great Thai food near home, I think I have finally found my spot in Longtail Kitchen in New West. I admit that I have been longing to go since I saw some of the dishes featured in “You Gotta Eat Here,” but was only able to try it last night, months after I saw the episode.

Longtail Kitchen is a casual eatery located at the River Market in New Westminster that focuses on Thai-style comfort food. The food you find here are quite similar to what people will find at traditional food stalls in Thailand like pad thai, roti, and of course.. curry! The restaurant first opened its doors in 2013 by Chef Angus An who also owns other well known Thai establishments in Metro Vancouver: Maenam, Fat Mao Noodles, Freebird Chicken, and his latest project underway- Sen Pad Thai on Granville Island. Authentic, delicious food. The staff seems to work well together. Their location is on some prime real estate so I'm sure they are super busy in the spring and summer months
This is a regular takeout place for us. It has yet to disappoint. The atmosphere is super casual. Grab a beer while you wait for your food. I do like the chicken wings but much fave is the pad thai with prawns. It's inexpensive and tasty.
Having come here after eating Freebird, we definitely wanted more of a snack so we decided to try out Maenam’s third store, Longtail kitchen. Hearing a lot of people talking about their crispy chicken wings as “cracked wings” I had to try it for myself. So how was the wings? . Famous chicken wings with tamarind sauce $8
This Thai/Asian joint is located inside of the New Westminster Quay. Casual place; you order at the till and there is a self serve condiment counter. We went on a fairly hot summers day and there were flies everywhere...was hard to eat and swat flies at the same time. Overall, food was quite tasty, but portions were small. Chicken wings were quite flavourful and was one of my faves.
We ordered the longtail wings, chicken pad thai, roti with peanut sauce and daily curry with prawn (comes with rice).
Everything was super good and tasty. Our favourite items were the chicken wings and the curry. The pad thai was solid and the roti was nice and crispy. I would definitely go again just for the wings!
We ordered basil pork and egg with rice, and a green curry tofu. Both dishes were good, and the presentation was good as well. Staff were polite and they came to fill water several times. The food was not cheap though - $16 per dish (for the items we ordered). If you are in the area, this restaurant is worth a try.

This place is awesome! Pretty expensive, but I mean the going rate to be fair since your right on the Waterfront. A sweet casual, comfort and relaxed vibe to chow down on some great grub in the sun.
We got the Pad See Ew ผัดซีอิ๊ว in which the kind and friendly staff were able to accommodate customizing it into a tofu-based veggie option. A plentiful portion of yummy wide rice noodles with a good mound of tofu, egg and veggies and was super yummy. We also got the Roti in peanut sauce to start which was devoured in seconds, wow that stuff is adictive, crazy good!!
The menu is focused and specific, specializing in a great selection of delicious Thai cuisine whilst offering both veggie and meat options.
I love how this joint uses so much compostable friendly cutlery, eating boxes and bowls as well as cups. Every little change makes a huge positive impact to save our beautiful planet.

I would definitely come back to try other items on the menu. I came on a hot sunny day for lunch. The fried cauliflower wasn’t greasy at all. The pad Thai had amazing flavour and perfect heat with juicy shrimp. The chicken wings was perfectly crunchy and seasoned just right.
Although it was a lot casual because of the patio seating only it was still enjoyable and delicious.
Great place! Got the pad thai chicken and 3 sides to share with my boyfriend. Longtail wings, green papaya salad, and hand pulled roti w/peanut sauce were all delicious. They don’t lie about the wings… a bit more on the expensive side but we thought it was worth it :)
In my opinion, this place is low-key so good that not many people know locally! I tried every food that they have on their menu and everything were very good!!
This place is located at the corner of food court of New Westminster quay.. they have a nice patio outside too! If you're first time, I would recommend trying their Chinese Sausage Fried Rice and the Longtail Fried Chicken! They are reasonably priced too!! Highly recommended!

I have eaten here 3 times total. I haven't been here for about a year, had a craving for Thai food so this place popped into my head.
So happy I came back! The food is expensive, but well worth it. Delicious flavors and fills you up. We got the stir-fryed eggplant, roti with peanut sauce, and long tail chicken wings. All of them were so yummy; the eggplant is something I am definitely ordering again!
