Really appreciated how they're the only bakery open early and late in the area. In all fairness, we only tried their Nanaimo bar in all of Nanaimo. It was delicious. We also tried a quiche and their coffee. Nothing much to say about the coffee, except it seemed to make us more sleepy. I loved the thick crust on the quiche. They had a lot of mousse cakes that I would've loved to try. Will definitely keep on my list to make another visit should I find myself in the area again. Service was fast. Prices very reasonable.
Visiting Nanaimo, we were looking for… you guessed it, drinks & nanaimo bars! This place has a great selection of Nanaimo bars (i.e. classic, original, cheesecake, etc). Check the hours before showing up because they have some wacky hours.
We visited from the main land and heard great things about Reds and we were not disappointed. Fantastic service and selection of desserts! We had the peanut butter chocolate cheesecake and it was delicious. The bakers definitely know what they are doing and will gladly let you have a taste before selecting. The cheesecakes themselves are quite generous in their serving and left us feeling stuffed. Not too sweet either!
