***Last Minute I wanted a unique date with my wife. My wife suggested attending Phi Center events. We choose "Last Minute" experience/story. Artists Claire Bardainne and Adrien Mundot created a futuristic experience. It starts with a story about life's cycles, then an amazing immersive experience about nature's power. The carpeted, draped rectangle has a translucent screen in the centre that takes up 3/4 of the space and allows flow on both sides. The room's emotions made some people close their eyes. After realising its purpose, I enjoyed it. As a large group, it was fascinating to watch the room divide. Some kneel, others lie down. Others moved to the room on the other side of the screen and fully explored its 360 projections. After this, it got better. The journey completed a circle. It's refreshing to have places like Montreal's Phi Centre use art in new ways. Thanks to the artist and Phi Center for sharing this art. ***Preparation tips for this event: Due to its length, the event starts at odd times (5:40 PM, 7:10 PM, etc.). It is not at our usual hour-and-half intervals. Arrive early to avoid missing the start since parking is always available in the old port. Luckily, there are many fun places to wait. Because the floor is art, I think you should take your shoes off before entering. Take pictures to remember the event. Hope this helps.

This the show last minute was amazing! I felt like I was in another world. The only constructive criticism I have is it was in French. I think the whole French vs English thing has been politicized and that's disappointing.

Attended an event here. Space was nice, did not see any show just used a room. Staff were attentive and friendly. View was ok.

This place is a MUST visit if you wanna learn about how technology has changed and still is going to shape our future, especially in the tourism and experiential aspect. One must-try is an artificial intelligence machine that will ask you questions then make you a perfume that 100% matchs your personality. They will let you keep the fragrance sample that has your name.

Cool modern multi-purpose venue in Old Montreal. I saw the VR exhibition “Echo: The Sound of Space” in December 2018 and it was fantastic. The staff at the entrance takes time to explain what the experience is about. You even get the chance to try one short film before buying your ticket. I recommend this place if you’re looking for a fun and interactive activity in the city.

A pretty cool virtual reality exhibition. You book a slot of 3 hours and there are enough VR ‘rooms’ to keep you entertained for at least two hours. Note: if you feel dizzy in normal video games be aware. It’s a stronger effect here. It happened to me - but not the equipment but my physiology is to blame :-)

GO SEE "ECHO: The Sound of Space" exhibit at the Centre Phi! Amazing! The space is excellent, the staff is friendly and helpful, the gift shop is well curated. The only thing it needs is a cafe :-)

*** MUST GO - BEST VR ART EXPERIENCE *** came here because of the influence of instagram and my friend, they didn't have the exhibition my friend went to 2 years ago with a fire projection, but this time it was all VR experience with technology, a different take on art but well worth the visit! the recent exhibition is 2 hours long and is time sensitive to allow everyone to enjoy their activities! from AR videos from artists to a Japanese history lesson and music composition this is the place to go if you have nothing to do, pretty cool for kids to learn and see as well, for we all know this is how the future is going to be! PROS • colorful building, super chromatic! • interior design is attractive • futuristic idea! well worth the money! • 2 hours of fun! • friendly staff, very helpful! CONS • hard to find parking PRO TIP FOR VISITORS • do not wear a hat or glasses, you'll be putting on VR goggles and headphones & a thermo vest for the last exhibition, it'll only get in the way, be sure to wear contacts if you wear glasses a must go for anyone age range! the experience itself is so futuristic that you don't want to leave!

Centre Phi is always full of surprises and has never let me down. The VR experiences are very immersive and some of them in the hum(ia)n exhibition requires lots of interaction too. I had fun in the algorithmic perfume testing even though the I didn’t quite like the perfume that eventually came out. I also got surprised when the digital human being called out my name at the end of our conversation. The facial recognition seems work perfectly.
