I don’t understand why there are so many negative reviews for this place. I did check them out prior visiting, but decided to see things for myself before crossing the restaurant out. The manager was quick and courteous to greet me and have me seated. Service was reasonably quick. One trick to eating all you can eat in the form of an Omakase experience is to order a little bit of everything and then splurging on your favourites. Drinks ( Pop and Ginger Ale ) are included so start with one to wait till your order arrives but be careful to not fill yourself up too much. The handrolls ( Kamikaze, spicy salmon ) and the nigiri selection ( salmon, oil fish, shrimp, surf clam, bbq eel, salmon rose, imitation crab salad ) were skillfully crafted and the sushis are just the right bite sized portion. The bbq eel and salmon rose stand out dramatically and literally melt in your mouth. Another round, please! The light and crunchy shrimp tempura was also sent for a repeat order. Among the chef specials, the green crystal roll and spicy salmon tartar did nothing much for me. I had higher expectations.The grilled beef maki is exactly what it is: Korean sushi.The shrimp tempura roll follows the same feature. Succulent gyoza and steaming hot Osaka ramen delight. The Yakitori chicken and grilled cod fish are decent; however, beware of fish bones! I wanted to try the edamame and Singapore vermicelli but ended up running out of room in my stomach. Eat responsibly and in moderate portions and you will not have to worry about the penalty! ( $1 per piece ) The meal was concluded with green tea and red bean icecream. Green tea for the win ANYDAY. The waitress serving me was good natured save bringing me my bill before I had even finished my dessert though I doubt her intentions were hostile. I really don’t see why the staff is so hated on. Be nice and tip well. It’s good quality food in a premium ambience downtown.
