We weren't sure if it was gonna be good or not. Great thing we tried it! We ordered this fried chicken drenched in this sweet and spicy sauce that was not on the menu. We saw photos of it on the wall. It tastes as good as it looks!! And the beef rib was just so tender! Awesome awesome!
Delicious and great service. We really enjoyed our meal. The server was very attentive and our food came amazingly fast (even though just about every table in the restaurant was full). We had the doen jang jji gae (soya bean paste with beef soup) and the doea ji gogi (spicy marinated pork bbq). The marinated pork bbq in particular was delicious, but also very rich, so the soup was a nice complement as it was a little lighter. And all served with the various Korean side dishes and a nice tea. Very affordable too - our whole meal for two people with tea, rice, sides, everything was $24. This was our second time there (the first time was a year or two ago) and we were also very happy the first time.
The restaurant offers the closest to authentic korean food you'll get around downtown. This is one of the places that offer authentic korean bbq- bulgogi & samgyeopsal (lettuce comes at no charge). They give more banchan (side dish) if you want. Price is very reasonable. Service is good. Place is nothing fancy but sure will make your tummy happy!:)
Sidenote: on busy hours, food can be a hit or miss.
Not authentic Korean. Have been here 3 times, the food isn't bad and the prices are good. The dishes they offer are similar to Korean but the place is run by Chinese (nice folks) and after a chat in the Korean grocery store (a few doors down) with one of the workers we both agreed that it's not quite up to scratch.
My wife (who is Korean) and I have yet to find a Korean place here that is even close to what we got back on the ROK and the places we've tried downtown are merely imatators.
Good but not great. Pretty disappointed with the food and the bulgogi in particular... however, this is montreal and not seoul so shouldn't complain. Just an average krn restaurant :)

Love this place, fast service, great tasting japchae and bibimbap, also VERY accomodating to vegetarians. Prices are fair and the beansprouts and kimchi are to die for, Love it!!
The decor wasn't great but the food was decent at a decent price.
Excellent Korean at a decent price. The decor leaves a little to be desired with the suspended ceiling and neon lights but if you're out for the food, this is a great place.
We decided on: soft tofu soup with pork (chicken, beef and seafood options available) and spicy chicken bulgogi. The food arrived promptly. It was good, real good.

Maison was so good, or at least I loved what I got. The barbecued eel bi bim bap (I forget the actual Korean/hangul name for this) came on this great piping hot stone, with plenty of tender vegetables, not-too sweet but definitely-sticky barbecue sauce, and loads of white rice which, thanks to the stone, got totally crispy and amazing on the bottom. crunch crunch!
