My wife and I have eaten at Restaurant Bombay during both our visits to Montreal in the past year and a half and have enjoyed both meals immensely! Our first visit was during Juste Pour Rire on a busy weekend evening when we got the only outside table available, our second was on a slow, rainly weekday evening when we were one of only 3 tables seated. In both cases the service was extremely friendly and helpful... attentive without being bothersome. We've particularly enjoyed the Sag Aloo, Tandoori Chicken, and their wonderful Naan. With a Taj Mahal beer. Combo AA is plenty of great food for 2 for about $40. We'll be back during our next trip to Montreal.
