Sometimes you walk into a place and it doesn't matter how good the product is because the service is so good and the people are so nice. In this case, however, not only is the service and atmosphere incredible, the coffee is terrific. This place is quintessential NDG.

Quirky.

On this humid day, I found myself in desperate need of coffee while running some errands. Upon driving up Sherbrooke, admiring the various businesses, Kokkino’s terrace caught my eye.

I walked in to find a well air conditioned shop, with lots of seating and a friendly owner. “We don’t ask you what you want, we know what you want,” I was told upon hesitating to order… True….

My iced coffee came with a scoop of ice cream to balance out the strong shot of espresso (omg). I’ll definitely go back to try one of their famous smoothies.

I sat outside to enjoy a mix of sun and the bustling street with locals’ conversations and chirping birds to fill the air. Cheers to this refreshing visit on such a HOT day in my city, the very one I fall more in love with everyday.
