Great food and music. I went to Miss Pret for an event (a cocktail), but got there early and decided to try out their salads. I had the squash salad (the one that looks like pasta) and it was delicious! Like nothing I've ever had before!
The cocktail was in the restaurant - the decor and mood were great;mellow and intimate. The restaurant played Kim's (the owner's) very own soundcloud (@labluesy) that I am now obsessed with! The two waiters/bartenders were also very accommodating and friendly. As for the most important part: hors doeuvres were great - especially the chicken skewers. 10/10 would return for a full meal.
Wholesome, local, organic, delicious and beautiful. I bring lunch to client meetings a few times per week. Miss Pret is my no-fail, sure-to-impress, go-to spot for takeout as Kim's dishes never fail to wow everyone who tries them. The presentation, even in takeout containers, is beautiful. The ingredients are always fresh and flavorful, locally and organically sourced. For this quality, the price is terrific. The most finicky foodies swoon. Go and see for yourself!
Really enjoyed this place!. Miss Prêt a Manger is a sophisticated little gem of a spot!!
I didnt know what to expect as I heard it was a great take out place, but there is a very lovely menu that changes every day.
I had a tender lamb shank with cous cous & sautéed eggplant today (divine) and halibut with fresh in season vegetables yesterday. (so good I'd eat it right now) every thing is colourful & you can taste the passion in the food.
Though it can be difficult to get a table at lunch time (small seating area) the atmosphere, music & service were all top notch for me.
I even ordered lunch boxes for a meeting next week as they do catering!
This place is sure to be a landmark if they can stick it through what seems to be a whole lot of construction in their area.
The owner (I think her name was Kimberly) was very friendly and seemed to know many of her patrons which is something I always appreciate, and the waitress I had also remembered me from the day before. She also told me about the menu being online everyday under section "Menu du Jour" but I dont read much french. She actually suggested I call in & that she would be happy to tell me the specials.
Prices vary for different dishes but all were well worth it, my wife had a trio (11.99$- a STEAL) and an organic muffin that she is talking about as I write this.
I recommend it!
So good...Still thinking about the restaurant!. This is an absolutely great restaurant from the atmosphere, music, decor, service, and obviously the food! Passing by, you cannot help but be drawn to the romantic, yet chic little restaurant. I am from Ottawa....and I wish there was a restaurant like Miss Pret A Manger here! I had a trio combination salad and although they were only salads, they were delectable and extremely reasonably priced! My favorite was the beet salad with goat cheese! My boyfriend had the veal and came very close to licking the plate clean! The manager was so welcoming and helpful with our white wine selection, very down to earth and treated her customers as if they were long time friends. Not to mention the complimentary jello shots. I will be recommending this restaurant to all of my friends or anyone who is going down to Montreal!
Simple & Fresh. Comin from NYC I was looking for some good eats. I've heard all bout Joe Beef, Pied de Cochon, Garde Manger...but was more into having some refreshing healthy food. Thats how I randomly found Miss Pret a Manger on my way to the old port. This lovely restaurant serves daily fresh made food. The owner/chef gives each plate her personal touch by taking inspiration from her many travels. I bought a couple of her muffins they were legit.
Un must!!!!.
A pleasant lunch. A new downtown option for lunch. I had an israeli couscous soup with beef, well balanced and tasty, with lots of vegetables. I also had a green curry shrimp dish, which had a little side salad. The curry was really tasty and had nice flavor, the shrimp well cooked, but the rice was a little weird, kind of gummy. Maybe overcooked? Girlfriend had a carrot ginger soup and a salad, both were good, although I kind of like my carrot soup a bit thicker. The bread served at the beginning which came with lunch was great, crusty and fresh, with good salted butter and some spicy veggie pate thing as well. There were also little tiny cups of veggie soup that came with the meal as well. A nice touch, made me feel like we were eating a fancy dinner instead of lunch.
Theoretically there is free wi-fi, but the waitresses didn't know the password.
I realize they are still working out the kinks as a new place, so with that in mind I'd give it 7 out of 10. Close to my house, and definitely I will go back to give it another try.
