Good for a chain.. Frite Alors is a chain that's a pretty common sight in Montreal, but lacking in reviews on Urbanspoon.

I pretty specifically went here to try the 'Rudolph Burger' which has moose, gruyere and caramelized onions as I'm big into trying different/rare foods and wanted to add moose to the list.

The burgers are served in a ciabatta/Turkish bread type roll and had sweet caramelized onions and some sort of delicious mayo. Comes with a huge pile of fries and a sauce of your choice (huge range and all delicious), too many for me to finish!

It's not super cheap but much better quality food than your regular chain. The service was good, they serve beer and the choice of burgers and sauces is pretty extensive. I was impressed with the different sauces they offer.

Poutine!. Refried fries=very good poutine.

We really enjoyed it. They also have great mayos to go with their fries.
