Great place for a beer, drink and comfort food. Chilling watching the game, good to meet friends, only down side, it's the smokers lining up on the side...
Pretty good pub food and decor, quite simple and not over the top. Nice selection of beer, cocktails and single malts. Ordered the Edson 1884 burger (at least I think that's what it's called). It has a peanut butter whisky BBQ sauce, with bacon and Swiss cheese, and is delicious. The only gripe I have is that the meat was overlooked and dry, maybe a sign of rushing the order. Some friends had some of their poutines and said they were ok. May go back due to their not being overly booked like other restos on a Saturday night, probably due to its location.
Good place. This is my favorite for a good after-work beer (and some good pub food with it). If you go at the right time, they even have happy hours!
Great Beer! Good ambience! Average grub!. A good pub! A good selection of British beers on the tap.. I like that it has lively, noisy sections and quiet pockets for you to take a pick. Food isn't great, though... And even for regulars, service is barely there...

Good food, good beer. Had the pull pork sandwich and nachos to start.
Both great, enjoyed the flavours of the sandwich, fries were very crispy, and the nachos werent mushy at all (rarity).
Beer was the standard quebec on tap fare.
Cash only though, which sucks, but explains why the beer is so cheap...
If you are stuck on cote des neiges for a day this is your pub. Great quecec beer and scotch menu. The service is impeccable and the food is a fiamond in the rough. Traditional qiebec poutine or the chevre pesto pizza slams summer into your face and taste buds. Whether you're.coming for a beer and a scotch in the afternoon or want a beer and poutine at one am this pub will deliver, gauranteed.
Favorite pub. I love this pub, not only because I would always think of it as part of my university years, but because their food are quite good and interesting. They have delicious burgers. I like the goat cheese and pesto pizza. The apple cider is good. But, they don't sell pitchers of beer (grrr) and their fries are a bit too soft (don't have enough crunchyness) but last time I went there, the fries have improve, so maybe they changed. It's also a very nice atmosphere just like you would expect in a pub.
Yay! McCarold!. This is my favourite pub in Montreal. I just love this place. They have good deals on beers (Happy Hours, just after a class, yay!), and the food is in my opinion quite good. I tried several burgers, their fish n' chips, the chili with tortillas, and a very good pulled pork sandwich. The pulled pork, while not really a usual pulled pork sandwich, was darn good: garlic butter on the bread, tender pork with a smoky bbq sauce, and what I think is smoked gouda cheese, with the usual tomato, onion, pickle and salad. Oh Lord was it good.
