Beautiful location and ambiance near the water
The food is amazing, we had the sea food platter and the nachos guacamole (delicious) and a sangria for a reasonable price

Authentic. The bad reviews on this website are most likely from people who think 3 Amigos is good Mexican food. You won't find hard shell tacos or cheap ground beef drowned in cumin at El Meson. What you'll find are authentic dishes. I've eaten here a dozen times and I'm never disappointed. Disregard the bad reviews because they clearly have no idea what they're talking about. If you want Mexican, go to El Meson. If you want Old El Paso, just stay home.

I couldn't ask for a better day to have my first experience at El Meson. The service was amazing! My GF and I we're very very happy with are main courses. Finally Latin cuisine in west! This place is sinfully good! Flavor town just got served! I'll be back;)

Started off bad (I didn't want be cramped at a table for four when we were five mostly big people) but the food was great! Had the seafood platter, others had the stuffed peppers.

I love this restaurant, the service is good the food is good and the ambiance is excellent, great place for a date!

Hubby & I decided to try something different & sooo glad we did. Cute little Mexican restaurant, had to wait a bit but it was worth it. Some guacamoli & some sangria & it passed quickly. We had the Fajita & beef with cactus which was superb!!!!!

1st Date Success. I've lived in the West-Island my whole life and actually even lived in Lachine for 3 years, but had never been to El Meson... Can hardly believe that this little gem of a restaurant has been right under my nose all this time!

Went on a 1st date there last week (a Wednesday night) and the place was filled with smiling people. Not a empty table to be seen. Quaint and authentic Mexican setting, prices are good and food was excellent!

I would highly recommend this place anyone looking to enjoy a great meal in a cozy setting :)
