This place is a fantastic Korean BBQ place. It has pretty much every box checked. Good service, friendly staff, lively atmosphere, and of course, delicious cuts of lamb, beef, chicken, pork, etc. I think a lot of Montreal amateurs often think of Seoul Chako when they think of Korean BBQ, but it would be unwise and ignorant to overlook Kalbi. What makes Kalbi stand out in superiority is the quality of the meat and their usage of the "paper grilling" method. Even though the meat cooks slower, there is less charring and less moisture loss because the paper absorbs the excess oil and helps preserve the flavor. I would recommend the lamb the most here, it has this nice earthy flavor that I can't get enough of. For $27 you get what you pay for and then some.
