It's over 10 years that I' ve been going to this place and every time, the food is great and the staff's very friendly. Keep up the great work !
Pretty good Portuguese place. Wasn't sure what to expect and I'm not often in this area, but came with a group of friends and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and authenticity of their food. Had an appetizer that was breaded fried shrimp, forget the name. Was good but wouldn't order again because of its simplicity. Our main dish was the huge sharing plate of pork, chorizo, chicken and ribs. Everything on that plate was fantastic, especially the ribs. Definitely a must try if you like Portuguese food and you live in this area.
For a thursday night this place was packed! We were standing at the entrance waiting to be seated for 20 minutes even though there was available tables. No one greeted us and we were even being pushed around by employees running by us and so it made a horrible first impression. When we were finally seated we were brought some water and bread but no olives like all the other tables received; when I asked for some the waiter blamed it on the bus boy. We finally ordered and received our food which was good but nothing spectacular. We had the grilled octopus, as well as the chicken which comes with fries and salad on the side. The waiter didnt write down our orders, he just memorized them and kept making sure that was what we ordered when he brought the food to our table, which I found extremely annoying and unprofessional. The service was very mediocre, but the ambience was everything you would expect from a quaint Portuguese restaurant. Overall it was a good experience, with good food but the service needs to be improved dramatically as other reviews have mentioned.
Good food and Walter (host) made the first time experience easy. He took his time to explain what to pair with what. We started with "sauted shrimp" which we really liked and my wife took the "rib" it was not spiced I took the mixed meat spice may be to spicy. We took a dry wine from the list with the help of my new friend Walter. It helps cut every spicy bite. My wife finished with what she considers one of her best "cream brûlée" and I had the Portugal coffee. Next time will be all sea food. Hoping Walter would stile be there. One of a kind knows his staff.
SOOOOO GOOOOD!. Plats délicieux!!
This place is incredible! Everything is good, EVERYTHING!!!!! The chicken is a must....do yourself a favor, ask for it spicy
Grillsszzz. Hello meat lovers!
Your not even in the restaurant but the smell just takes you there! You can hear the meat sizzling on the grills and the food is great! The portions are huge, so you'll have more than enough to cover your hunger. Im sorry vegetarians, salad is basic.
Price: Normal- can cost you between 25$ to 40$ depending what your picking and drinking.
P.S Try their beer its pretty good too. Light blond.
Restaurant O Cantinho is already well established around its area. It is no surprise that when I was around the area, that was the most suggested restaurant for lunch, especially on a Thursday.
Why? Simply put, Thursday is for Paella.
