This bar is special because each day there is a different show or event, for instance: Monday Quebecoise or Sunday Latino. The ambiance is cool and funny, with a hippie style deco. However, there is a lack of air circulation which sometimes make the place stinky. The service is good and the prices a little bit expensive specially for the food.
The atmosphere of this resto-bar is really cool. When I was there, there was a live jazzy duo playing with a weekly line-up of artists of all genres. The lighting and decor also give it a retro-hip vibe. The food was very so-so but the price reflects this. I had the chèvre pasta and it was very plain, something I could easily make at home, but it only cost $9 instead of the $15 you pay for a plate of pasta elsewhere. This is a spot I would return to for drinks and the music + vibes but probably not the food.
Got it wrong. I read the review by the person who feels that the staff are anglophobes...well, I'm the night chef and I'm english....
All the staff speak english and the majority of those working here are originate in other countries.
I started coming here as a customer and enjoyed the laid back vibe so much I started working here.
Bohemian like you. Hippie atmosphere, very laid-back and earthy decor. I especially enjoyed the disparity in seating areas, which were all separated by divisions resembling different rooms. Striking up conversation with people in this restaurant-bar is easy as cake, and the live music is entertaining! I only had the chocolate and walnut vegan cake, but I must say it was very good. I recommend this place for the social aspect of it, the food is secondary!
