Good Food Is Made With Love. Denos’ brothers George and Bill, make great food because they CARE, and they are always there. I've been eating there or ordering from there about once a week for the last 10 years. I either get the souvlaki platter or their pizza.
The pizza: George and Bill are obsessed with making perfect pizza every time. George told me they keep the flour in a different storage place winter and summer to maintain the right temperature. They research and have gone to seminars on different aspects of the process. They carefully pick from the best ingredients available, from tomatoes, to cheese, to peperoni, etc... After 2 or 3 points even a big eater is satisfied.
The souvlaki platter: It seems like the quintessential platter. You don’t even think about it because every part of it is just as it is supposed to be, and it is BIG. I eat the 2 stick platter over 2 meals. The service: fast and friendly.

Great Food, Great Value. My husband and I spent 5 days in Montreal and ate at this restaurant at least once every day. Food tasted great, with huge portions! Especially liked the smoked beef and fish...everything was fresh. Some of the waitresses were less than friendly to us English speaking Americans, but Carole was the exception. She always greeted us with a smile, was friendly, efficient, and a great server. I would definitely go back to this restaurant!
Fantastic neighborhood diner. French toast was very good. My friend had a ham and cheese omelette with potatoes. Both were very good, but the potatoes were better than your average home fries. Staff was very friendly, even to 2 Americans still struggling to learn French.
