Good Food Is Made With Love. Denos’ brothers George and Bill, make great food because they CARE, and they are always there. I've been eating there or ordering from there about once a week for the last 10 years. I either get the souvlaki platter or their pizza.
The pizza: George and Bill are obsessed with making perfect pizza every time. George told me they keep the flour in a different storage place winter and summer to maintain the right temperature. They research and have gone to seminars on different aspects of the process. They carefully pick from the best ingredients available, from tomatoes, to cheese, to peperoni, etc... After 2 or 3 points even a big eater is satisfied.
The souvlaki platter: It seems like the quintessential platter. You don’t even think about it because every part of it is just as it is supposed to be, and it is BIG. I eat the 2 stick platter over 2 meals. The service: fast and friendly.

Great Food, Great Value. My husband and I spent 5 days in Montreal and ate at this restaurant at least once every day. Food tasted great, with huge portions! Especially liked the smoked beef and fish...everything was fresh. Some of the waitresses were less than friendly to us English speaking Americans, but Carole was the exception. She always greeted us with a smile, was friendly, efficient, and a great server. I would definitely go back to this restaurant!
Fantastic neighborhood diner. French toast was very good. My friend had a ham and cheese omelette with potatoes. Both were very good, but the potatoes were better than your average home fries. Staff was very friendly, even to 2 Americans still struggling to learn French.

The service that I received will make me remember this one for a while to come. The food, while mostly average and budget friendly, is enough to fill you up when you’re hungry.
This old school diner is always less than half full when other breakfast joints in the neighborhood have a line down the block. It's not the food or the service. The food is standard Montreal breakfast fare served fast and hot (the menu is a little limited). The service is genuine and quick.
I think it's because the place perpetually looks dark and closed from the outside. It's kind of dreary on the inside too. The inside is covered in every imaginable shade of beige and nothing else. Not even a single picture on the wall. The only attempts at any sort of decoration are a few houseplants in the windows.
This is literally the only restaurant I know of in the whole city where you can be certain you can show up at 10am on Saturday morning, be seated immediately and be eating 10 minutes later. I just hope they are busy enough to stay in business.
Really decent greasy spoon style spot here in the city. Service was quick and positive. Food is very reasonably priced for the quality and quantity.
The customer relations and services were superb. I also enjoyed the meal. It was a good experience, shall surely come back the next time I'm in Montreal again.
Glad to have found this early morning while out looking for breakfast. They open at 5AM and the diner had a homey, retro vibe (it was opened in 1958 after all). The wait staff lady was very friendly and had a warm smile, always checked on us to refill our coffee. The food portion was just right for its price.
Perfect! I love everything about this place. It's like going back in time to a classic diner of fifty years ago. My partner and I were visiting from Seattle and we we're immediately greeted by the owner when we walked in the door. Such a warm welcome! The food, service, and affordable prices were all impressive. Delicious coffe with free refills.
We stumbled on this place while looking for breakfast and boy were we glad we did!! Excellent food at a great price, hot coffee with refills, and super friendly staff. Was a great reminder of how great the traditional breakfast diner experience can be, and is hard to find (at least in Toronto where we are from). Will definitely recommend to others!

We arrived in the city after an early morning flight and needed some grub and caffeine. This was near our hotel so we decided to check it out. The food really hit the spot! And we didn't have to wait too long for it. Our server was very friendly and welcoming, and the dining space has a cozy and relaxed ambience. If you're in the area and need some good comfort food, this place will not disappoint.
