It's a good restaurant, French cuisine, it's been around for years and it modernized it's look. I remember back when it was in a little house w just a few round tables. Food is good and consistent, nice byob, I added some pics.
Great food, Great service!. Came for dinner on a Sunday night at 8:00 pm, the restaurant was not too crowded (we had our pick of table). The food was amazing- I had the scallops and my boyfriend had the risotto. In addition, the complementary cold soup was fantastic, as was the service! When I come back (yes, after the first bite of my meal I knew I would have to), I definitely intend on doing the degustation menu... Great place :)
One of the Best BYOB in Montreal. Took a group of 12 people from across Canada, and they all agreed that the meal was one of the best they had in Canada, let alone Montreal. For 12 English speaking Canadians, the staff were very good about translating the French menu for us in detail.
The total meal took 3 hours to complete, but using the menu dégustation (appetizer, palate cleanser, meal, and desert), everything was well timed and we appreciated not feeling rushed to complete our meal.
Standouts on the meal for appetizers were the salad with goat cheese and the fois gras. For meals, the scallops and veal chop were amazing.
Since it was BYOB, each meal with tip came to between $55 and $65, but well worth it considering we were able to save on wine costs.
Good but noisy. I loved the foos. Rib steak and tartar were deliscious but the room has an echo and people are jolly so a bit noisy to my taste. but will go again.
Amazing experience in a nice decor. I had the menu dégustation which included the potage, entrée (tartare de cerf), trou Normand (lemon sorbet in vodka), main course (Guinness beer braised beef rib sweet potato fries, garlic mayo) and dessert (lemon meringue pie with coconut sorbet) and I enjoyed each and every BITE ! The rib was so tender you could tear it with a fork but was not seasoned enough, at my taste. Everything else was near perfection. Will GLADLY be back!
Ils sont maintenant à une nouvelle adresse (1915 Mont-Royal est). Toujours aussi délicieux, mais les nouveaux locaux sont malheureusement très bruyants.
It's always difficult to decide what to eat for dinner when you're in a city that's not your home. You have favourites and want to stick to them because you only have a few opportunities to eat them. Once in a blue moon I will try something new. My sister
