I have been to quite a number of restaurants here in Montreal during my time as a professional Asian, black belt shrimp tempura eater and full-time nerd, and I must admit that I always thought I've been to the cleanest looking restaurant with the best service and friendliest workers. I was completely mistaken. This place looked very clean, the food was absolutely excellent and the service was just downright fantastic.
Mirela was outstanding, kind and very respectful. I learned about many different things regarding the meat we ordered, things to consider when using the grill and was always there to check on us with her beautiful smile. I'd say she should get a raise and perhaps more hours if she desired. Just saying. And I'm not saying this because I know her. Though, I do wish that I did.
I just kinda wished she read my face when I was signaling her to recommend us the cheapest stuff because I am currently unemployed, but my date ended up ordering the most expensive thing! No worries though. I'm a gentleman and I took the bill. My date said she'll pay next time. But maybe she just said that because she knows she won't want to see me again. But that's besides the point!
The point is, I had a great time enjoying excellent food with amazing service from such a lovely person and I would definitely recommend this place to my friends. Will definitely come back and when I do, I do hope Mirela would be there to make the experience as pleasant as the last time.
My second time there, I recommend this restaurant. Food is good, ventilation system too! So we dont smell after leaving from the restaurant and the service from Mirela was outstanding! She was dynamic and we all loved our time there.
Although it is a little pricey, the food is delicious and the service is great (really nice staff) so it's definitely worth it! If you like meat, then you will like this place for sure! They also have a variety of drinks and they are also very good! 100% will go back and recommend!
This was a good dinner. My friend and I came here after reserving the same morning (I would recommend making a reservation as walk-in waiting times are long). We had good miso soup, less than delicious chicken karaage, and gyu kaku salad for appetizers. Next, we had some bibimbap with beef, which was the best thing we had all night, and some beef nigiri. We then had 6 kinds of beef for the barbecue, and all of them were delicious to me. We had s’mores for desserts which were a fun addition.
I had the virgin Sakura to drink, which was great. The staff was awesome and really helpful. Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
The portions are a bit smaller after the lockdowns but still, we've never been disappointed eating there. Plus, the service is impeccable
I LOVED the server, Po! He was just professional, courteous, customer-oriented and efficient!
The food at the restaurant was good as well. If you follow their cooking instruction, you will be having food in perfection.
The reason why I gave 4 star for this 5-star experience was because of the table reservation and deposit payment arrangement was confusing.
This was my first Japanese barbecue experience and let me say, it was epic! We chose "the chef's favorite". Mouth-watering marinades, a must try!
We got the meat lovers combo and hands down to the short ribs! So tendered, so flavourful, so good! Special mention to the bibimbap - so buttery and comforting rice. Great portions and quality!
I was meeting a friend downtown for supper, I told her to pick a place. She brought us here. I was a bit worried, first because I don't like Asian food in general, second I couldn't quite understand the concept of cooking your own food. Anyways, I went along. We had reservations at 7:45 but got there really early 6:30. The waitress was kind enough to accommodate us and give us a table. Our waiter came by and quickly explained the concept. Basically you ordered what you want from the menu (veggies, meat, poultry, seafood) they bring it raw and you BBQ it yourself.
We ordered beef toro, yaki shabu beef and chicken thigh. We also ordered a gyu-kamu salad, which was mixed greens with cucumber, red peppers tomato and eggs. With an egg dressing. The waiter was very kind and attentive, brought us the different dishes, turned on the bbq, put some oil on and we were ready to grill. The meat is cut very thin so it cooks very quickly, chicken takes 4-5 min to cook which the waiter tells us in advance. I loved the marinate, service was impeccable, our glass of water was never empty. If the grill gets to burnt you just tell the waiter and he changes the grill.
You can even make your own s'mores, they bring you marshmallows, Hershey chocolate and the cookies. We had some tea at the end of our meal which help digestion.
A great experience for my first time, I will be definitely coming back
