Je suis allée en semaine et assez tôt (18h15). L'endroit était calme et nous avons eu droit a un très bon service; serveuse qui connait bien le menu et sait bien nous conseiller, avec le sourire.
J'ai goûté le menu dégustation et j'en ai eu pour mon argent. Les mets étaient savoureux! J'ai particulièrement aimé le risotto d'orge avec le boeuf ainsi que l'assiette de fruits de mer. La limonade turque était aussi délicieuse!
L'ambiance et le décor m'ont aussi charmé.
Ce fût une belle soirée. J'ai apprécié mon expérience. �

Les 4 employés du matin travaillent très bien en équipe, ils se complètent énormément, Bravo. Et ils sont tous très souriants.
Tout est fait maison, c'est impressionnant! J'ai tellement bien mangé. J'ai hâte d'essayer pour souper!

Définitivement un de mes restaurants préférés à Montreal. Pour le service hors pair, la variété du menu et la fraicheur des aliments! C'est une expérience à chaque fois! Bien hâte d'y retourner! Ah et les déjeuners sont tellements bons et différents!!
Absolutely great, fresh food. Awesome wines, especially the private selection of a Turkish wines. Modern decor with a Turkish touch. Definitely in our list of best restaurants in Montreal.
Quelle superbe expérience nous avons vécu hier soir! Merci à toute l'équipe qui sont réellement allés au-delà de nos attentes et nous ont permis de passer une de nos rares soirées en amoureux de manière extraordinaire. La nourriture était excellente du début à la fin et ce n'est pas pour rien qu'il y a toujours une place spéciale pour le restaurant Su dans nos coeurs de foodie. For the last fourteen years, Restaurant SU and chef and proprietor Fisun Ecran, have brought to Montreal one of the best restaurants serving fine Turkish cuisine. Located at the end of Wellington street in Verdun, it is a true gem among a plethora of restaurants that permeate this busy street. Opened in 2005, I first visited Restaurant Su back in 2011, after friend’s recommendation. I was totally blown away by the exotic and delicious flavors presented in Ecran’s carefully prepared plate presentations. At the time, virtually unknown Ecran had just come out with a cookbook and was making her rounds plugging the book on the Quebec television circuit. She was also just a handful of female Montreal chef’s making a name for herself in a domain that is basically dominated by men. Restaurant Su and its chef did not remain in obscurity for long and today it no longer is a well-kept secret but enjoyed by many foodies.
Je suis allée goûter à la cuisine chez Su dans le cadre de Montréal à table 2018. Pour 43$ par personne, la quantité laissait à désirer, mais ce que j'ai pu manger était savoureux. J'ai eu un gros coup de coeur pour la brochette d'espadon servie sur polenta d'amandes. La cuisson était parfaite! Bref, si vous avez envie d'une cuisine turque et que vous êtes dans le coin, allez-y! Toutefois, si vous avez le choix, je pense que vous pouvez aller ailleurs et ça sera tout aussi goûteux et moins dispendieux! Il faudrait que j'y retourne pour essayer leur menu habituel!
One of the few Turkish restos in Montreal, Su is gaining in popularity in Verdun. And they've BEEN gaining in popularity for a while! This is why, the other day, when ma gurls Mar and Al suggested we go there, I jumped on that sh*t. The resto itself is bigger than I thought: it looks quite small from the outside! Once you enter, the décor, I found, was somewhat weird: the bar section has these very bright neon lights (I remember calling it hypnotic blue), a part of the restaurant looks more traditional, with lovely lookin' plates on the walls, and another part, looks modern. Quweird. It looked like quite the popular place, which actually surprised me; I had never seen anyone walk in or out of it!
Had an amazing culinary experience today at Su. I rarely give restaurants 5* but there's barely anything to criticize and the food quality to price ratio is spot on. The MTL a Table brunch menu attached is actually $15 for a full brunch, including all of the smaller appetizers and a main dish. We had unlimited freshly baked Turkish chick pea bread from the Izmet region where the chef is from, as well as small jams (cherry, peach), clotted cream with honey, molasses with tahini, nuts, salad, etc. all to share. We had one choice of a main dish; we tried the borek and the sujuk. Deliciously flavorful and very generous for the price. We also ordered traditional Turkish black tea, which wasn't steeped long enough for my lacking but still good. The decor was very chic and the service was great. Will be dragging myself back out to Verdun for this gem.
Amazing little Turkish brunch place in Verdun! Really great Tasting menu with homemade jams jellies and breads. The server took his time to explain each item in detail which was a nice surprise! For the main breakfast I settled on the shakshuka dish which was light yet satisfying. Overall really great experience, I definitely recommend this hidden gem in verdun
