Evolving over the last 30-odd years from cozy local dive serving booze on a not-technically-legal license to a cozy destination bar with an excellent menu (and a fantastic selection of whiskey), Else's is one of those places that won't appear in most tourist guides but is an absolute must-visit for anyone looking for a taste of real Montreal. And it's still a great local dive ;)

The Plateau is not really my favorite spot cause its hard to find a parking but this restaurant bar was worth it to pay 8$ in the parcometre �lol. Good food,amazing atmosphere for a 5 a7 ¬ expensive at all�...and the butter chicken is really delicious ���

Very bohemian with a great vibe. The food is delicious -- we had the veggie burger and the pork sliders, yummy yummy! Staff is super friendly. Good music. Just good all around!
