We had the most amazing meals! Fresh, piping hot and so tasty!!! I will go back there often for sure! The staff was so friendly and helpful in their recommendations, and the chocolate mousse was to die for! You have to try it!!! Thumbs up!!!!

My new favourite go-to place in Old Montreal. Never tried Portuguese cusine before but it simply became my favourite European cuisine. Staffs were very responsive to our needs and were very friendly. Will definitely go back to this place and definitely recommend this place.

Came across this place while we were walking around in Old Montreal, and decided to stop in for lunch. The server was very courteous and friendly, and for our entrees we went ahead with the suggested daily seafood specials of cod and swordfish which were prepared in a very simple and clean manner. Really enjoyed the traditional nautical themed decor as well.

Visited Porto Mar on our trip to Montreal. Great location in the heart of the city. What brought us to this place was the great menu with traditional Portuguese meals. We loved our meals, everything was so fresh and well prepared. Friendly and helpful staff as well.

Visited on a quiet Tuesday evening, we were greeted by our server with olives and bread. We went for the table d’hôte and everything from the appetizer to dessert was delicious. The ambiance music was great and not so loud, service was also great and friendly. The kitchen was a bit slow between the appetizers and main courses - a bit surprising given that it wasn’t busy- but worth the wait time. The house wine was better than expected! Definitely recommend checking out this place for an affordable and delicious meal in the Old Port 🤩

The fries are pretty nice, one of the best fries ever tasted. Desserts were like average delicious. I ordered the rice with fish as main dish. The seafood tastes good but as whole this is not my taste. Good service, great atmosphere and $30~50 for an appetizer, a entree and a dessert was not bad.

Excellent choice for a Portuguese inspired seafood lunch in Old Montreal. Highly recommended and they were able to accommodate my dietary needs. Definitely will go back.

Wonderful place in Old Montréal. We had to bump our reservation twice in one night and host never snickered. Once we arrived we were greeted with a wonderful smile. Service was amazing and the food matched. The restaurant is located inside an older building so the interior is beautiful. Even getting the the restroom was a wonderful experience (you'll understand once you go). We will definately come back when we visit the city again!
