We were perusing the menu to find gluten free items when the waiter and then the chef came outside to ask how they could assist. Seeing how accommodating they were, we decided to give it a try. We were having a lovely evening, and then the chef/owner started to sing. He put it over the top for us. I cannot recommend enough. It is a very small but cozy room, delicious food. Excellent gluten-free pasta too (his own unique recipe) Bring your own wine!
The best little restaurant in Montreal! Combining the talents of an Italian and a French chef. Incredible home made raviolis with a French twist such as ravioli with duck confit and fois gras for example. delicious generous portions. Also Monday- thursdays chef Davide Bazzali performs Opera live while cooking. A cozy, comfortable and refined experience overall. Bravo!
Best Ristorante Italiano I've ever been to in North America!
The staff is friendly and considerate, and the food is exceptional. We ordered the Table d'Hôte (four-course meal) for two and the portion was just right. Every course was just right, and very well made.
Totally recommend the Salmon Tartare as a starter, and the house cocktails are a fabulous apéritif!
Amazing Italian restaurant. The portions are quite generous and the quality/flavour are top notch. I would recommend this place a 100% and I really can’t wait to go back.
Excellent food in a cozy and laid back atmosphere. The portions are huge so we were able to share three mains between the four of us. Great service as well. Definitely give it a try!
We had table de hôte, that abled to try several different things.
First off we were served with the bread …and oh my how delicious already that was. Soft from the inside and perfectly crispy from the outside.
Appetizers - soup and salad- both were great: fresh, flavorful and light.
Then after that we had salmon tartare and deep fried cod. Delicious! Both were great.
For main course we decided to have the Toscana Ravioli and cod fillet. Here we might have made a mistake as we were not really aware of how strong the tomato sauce can be. On the cod I didn’t like it too much, just too overpowering for me. The gnocchi was delicious though! Loved it. It was a bit roasted and made in a somewhat special way.
On the ravioli I didn’t like the tomato sauce too much either, I felt like it did dominate too much. Ravioli itself was good.
Then, lastly, for dessert we had chocolate mousse and the semifreddo. Mousse was definitely decadent as our server warned, perfect to finish the meal. Semifreddo I liked probably more, little less intense. In small amounts both were delightful.
Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. The chef gave a little performance as I was hoping so it made me especially glad, and later he found time to have a little chat with the people enjoying the food - including us!:)
It was a lovely and memorable experience. I’m looking forward to introduce this place to my friends.
Amazing Italian restaurant! The food was astounding we tried the arancini appetizer and we ordered the raviolis and strozzapreti.... Everything were very tasty! Also the service was extremely good..... I recommend this place!
