We had a wonderful meal at this charming restaurant in Old Montreal. We were lucky to have a table at the window and it the night only improved from there. The wait staff was very attentive and professional. The food was outstanding. I had the scallops and my husband had walleye, both were excellent! Don't skip dessert !
Food and service were excellent. Pan fried Cod on butter is so buttery delicious. It was so good we ordered a 2nd plate. The croutons with the fish soup with mayo and cheese sauce is a must. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Our favorite restaurant experience in Montreal was Chez Delmo. By far our favorite place to eat. Small place with a cozy feeling. The food was amazing! We tried as much as we can, but need to go back to try the rest. The seafood is so fresh, the drink menu is perfection, and the service was top-shelf. Will come back again!
I had one of the best meals of my life here, it was also the most expensive meal of my life, but hey, you get what you pay for am I right? 😏
The wait-staff was awesome too. They were helpful and knowledgeable, and even gave me recommendations for other quality restaurants in the area. Thank you for taking care of a Yank on vacation.
Perfect dinner.
The food, the service, the atmosphere, and even the tableweawere were great.
On a freezing evening in Montreal, the dinner at Chez Delmo's warmed our hearts.
We started with foie gras, and lobster salad both were excellent.
For a main, and according to the recommendation of the waiterwe, we ordered a Dover Sol and Salmon; both dishes were wonderful.
The chocolate mousse cake for dessert was very good as well.
warmly recommended.
We literally Googled “oysters” and went. We were greeted and treated like kings. The ambiance is pure magic and very chic decor (but not pretentious). The two owners were sweet and talked to us most of the time we were there. We had a lovely spot at the bar. The service was exceptional. We had oysters and some of the best calamari and seafood pasta. The drinks were made with love. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants an exceptional dining experience. The prices were fair. We came home feeling well-fed and feeling amazing. Please go and support this place. They are one of a kind!!!
From start to finish, this was a 5 star evening. I took a chance in a Saturday afternoon and called to see if I could get a reservation. I wanted 7:00 but only 6:15 was available. Reluctantly, I took the reservation even though it was earlier than I wanted. Within 15-20 of finishing the call, the owner called back to let me know he had a cancellation and he could accommodate me at 6:45pm. He didn’t have to call and let me know but small act gave us more time to finish what we were doing and get ready for dinner. When we arrived, we were promptly greeted and taken to a nice table away from the door and the service was excellent. We got to know the waiters, two of whom had recently arrived from France. The food was perfect. My wife had Icelandic cod and I had the grilled salmon. After dinner, I took a minute to thank the owner for changing our reservation to a little later. When he saw we were walking and it had started to rain, he offered us an umbrella. Like I said, it was perfect from start to finish! This was an easy 5 star review and I don’t give 5 stars often.
It's one of those places that's very unique and special.
The service, ambience and attention to detail is very admirable and the food is really really good, the tomato cream soup and Fried calamari were on point and the squid ink fettuccine is a must try, and for dessert the créme bruleé is a perfect finish for the night.
From my phone call letting them know I was going to be a few minutes late for my reservation until the second I left, service was absolutely beyond outstanding and top-notch. I could write about this place for hours. I will try to do it justice.
If you are looking to have an incredible 5 star experience, in a classy setting, with excellent food and (dare I mention again.. magnificent service), this is the place. It was the first heavy snow of the season, so they gave us a table by a window and it felt like I was in a movie.
Now the food, we had the most delicious lobster bisque I have ever had in my life. We also ordered calamari for appetizer. For our main course, we ordered squid ink fettuccini with scallops and cod. It was terrific. For dessert, I can't remember the name, but it was a pudding/cake with a maple syrup sauce, it was truly divine.
William and his father (the owner) were kind, they took the time to chat with us, to make us feel like they were so happy we were there; we really appreciated their efforts to make us feel so welcome. thank you so much.
I reckon I might have just added a new restaurant to my list of top 5 best restaurant experiences of my life.
This place had the perfect French fries. I ordered fish and chips that were delicious. They were big but very good. I also ordered calamari fruits that were so good and perfectly fried! So basically you should definitely eat here!!! EAT HERE!!!!
