Olive et Gourmando is the best food in the world. Not the best pastries in the world. The best food in the world. We are flying back to the States today, and I have accepted the fact that for the next few months, I will surely wake up in a cold sweat nightly. At first I won’t know what’s wrong - the looming threat of world war? The untimely death of Chris Cornell? Bees? Then it will occur to me that I have no access to these pastries and I will weep while rocking in the fetal position for hours, rendering myself so exhausted and useless that I will lose both my job and my children. Thanks, Olive et Gourmando, for ruining my life.
Fantastic meal and exceptional service. We had a 30 minute wait but it was worth it. The area is quaint and full of shops and galleries to peruse. We both had the super vegan salad and it was brimming with flavor and the freshest ingredients. The handpicked soundtrack playing in the background was impressive as well. We will definitely be back to this little treasure in Old Town.
We went for brunch. It was really crowded, and we ended up sitting on the stools, which was unfortunate. However, the food was good, and the service was terrific. I had a latte and a cheese scone. They were both great. My friend had their signature weekend plate. He loved it.
Overall, I would recommend this place to a friend, and I would love it if they started a booking system
The food is fantastic at this busy little restaurant in the Old Port of Montreal. Be prepared for a short wait.for a table, even on a weekday, but it's worth it. The pastries are top notch, the fresh juice and iced tea are refreshing and the staff is efficient and friendly. Keep in mind they are closed on Sundays and Mondays.
Lovely place to people watch around the Old Port. I loved their soup of the day, and their sandwiches are fabulous and flavourful. 👌👌👌 You can take pastries to-go, as well, and they were fantastic way to finish off a meal. Just note that it can get busy here during the weekends, and might need to put your name down and wait to get your name called. Either way, highly recommend this place.
We had a amazing experience! It was a super crowded place, had to wait for like 15-20 minutes but the experience we had was worth the wait! My friends and I ordered a couple of things: Spicy Poached Egg Panini, All Dressed Breakfast Brioche, Cappuccino, Mimosa and Raz Lemonade. Panini was really good and filling. The Brioche was extra sweet but we liked it anyways and the drinks were so good! Would definitely visit next time and highly recommend others to pay a visit as well.
Were a little intimidated by the line when we got there at 5 to 9 on a Saturday morning, but the wait wasn't too bad after all. We were sat in 15 mins. Among the weekend menu, the blueberry brioche one was truly excellent (would give six stars for this), but the scone sandwich and others were just okay esp. for their prices.
This place has amazing paninis that no one should miss! Since it’s first come first serve basis and they only operate dine-in on Tuesday, please plan ahead. Though I wouldn’t recommend to anyone who want to enjoy some quiet brunch time, as they are just too popular that there are always people waiting in line in and outside.
Went for breakfast early morning. The hostess was very kind, and checked the vaccination status promptly. We ordered coffees, croissants, and cheese sandwich. Cheese sandwich was the BEST sandwich I’ve ever eaten. Croissant was delicious too - go for the almond one my recommendation. Had to take a brownie to go because how could I leave without a takeaway bakery item :)
