Menu options were diverse and incredibly delicious. The presentation and service was first rate � . Tapeo has a relaxed but very chic vibe !
Wine choices were yummy and we all appreciated the option to sample the server's suggestions.
So many yummy tapas. Do try any seafood/fish options and chorizo "anything" as the spice and flavour is divine. If you have room for dessert......warm churros with chocolate sauce and you are on cloud 9 !

Chez Tapeo, la bouffe est excellente! L'entrée du jour, les éperlans, était parfaite! Je n'ai jamais mangé des éperlans aussi délicieux! Ensuite, pour le plat principal, j'ai commandé la paella. Elle est exquise, même si j'aime bien avoir un peu de riz croquant dans mon plat et qu'il n'y en avait pas lors de ma visite. (Toutefois, bonus: si on ne mange pas de viande, on peut demander la paella sans chorizo, super)! Pour dessert, j'ai pris un expresso avec des churros au chocolat. :) Personnellement, je préfère la garniture à l'intérieur de mon churros, mais c'était quand même très bien! Bref, c'était un lunch fabuleux! Je mets toutefois une note de 4, car le service était moyen. Tsé quand les serveurs demandent aux autres clients si tout va bien, leur souhaitent bon appétit avec le sourire et qu'à toi, on ne te parle pas même quand tu dis merci et tout, c'est vraiment plate! Et des sourires, on oublie ça, c'est à peine s'ils m'ont regardé! Bref, c'est sûr que je retourne au Tapeo, car la bouffe est géniale, mais j'espère que j'aurai droit au même service que les autres clients même si je ne suis pas une femme d'affaire/cliente régulière/client qui commande une bouteille de vin dispendieuse/peu importe la raison cette journée-là!
One of the best restaurants in montreal. For the times I’v been (10 times) I’v never been desapointed. Really recommend this restaurant. They adjust for people who are gluten intolerant and dairy intolerant or any kind of allegies. Service is amazing, Very cozy restaurant really recommended
Great place for tapas. Tapeo is alway busy and it can take a while for reservations. Very happening place in the heart of Villeray. Nice decor, very service. From start to finish they are very welcoming, friendly and helpful Went here for Birthday celebration, we were four people, we gave them carte blanche to bring us their best. Had lots of fish and seafood dishes. Tapas are small portions, but by end of the meal we were stuffed. A little costly.

Bon Tapeo est devenu notre resto pour célébrer les anniversaires de la famille. On y mange toujours très bien en partageant du bon temps avec nos êtres chers.
Je pense que j'ai un faible pour la cuisine japonaise (comme vous pouvez voir dans mes critiques), mais aussi espagnole. Chez Tapeo, on retrouve l'esprit de la cuisine de l'Espagne, notamment avec leurs excellentes paellas avec des beaux morceaux de fruits de mer. Par contre, ce que j'aime par dessus tout: c'est la formule tapas où on peut partager les plats et goûter à tout. Ça doit être mon côté asiatique, où on met tout au centre et on partage les mets. J'adore ça.
Chapeau à Marie-Fleur St-Pierre! Elle a su garder une cuisine soignée et savoureuse. Sa clientèle la suit depuis plusieurs années. Chaque bouchée est un pur bonheur. On sent l'amour dans les plats. De plus, le service est impeccable ce qui rend l'expérience très agréable. Aussi, le resto a certains vins d'importations privées. Leurs sélections de Rioja sont très bons.
Mes conseils: réservez d'avance surtout pour le vendredi et samedi. Ce restaurant est très prisé. Est-ce que je vous ai dit que c'était bon?
On y va pour:

-fideos
-tapas du jour ou du mois
-tomate sur vigne (le mélange d'huile et du pesto est délicieux )
-sardines (je les adore, car ils sont en filet)
-fruits de mer
Love going to this place! Good variety of tapas and the food is really good. They serve very good amaretto sour too (my favorite drink!). Service is great. Ambiance is wonderful for a night out either with your loved one or with a group of friends. I will definitely come back.
Cute little spot in a pretty neighbourhood. Went in the summer for a birthday dinner.
Service was super friendly and would answer all questions and offer recommendations with a smile. Food came quickly and tables were cleaned fast as well in order to bring more food.
Food was amazing and well worth the price with a wide variety of flavors. I personally recommend the tartare and the patatas bravas.
Hands down best restaurant I've been to in a long time! Each dish has its own identity and the flavours are fantastic! Top recommendations are octopus, marinated swordfish, and the beef tartare!
Wonderful experience in the summertime - tried everything that was recommended. Great choices. Decor has a warm feel to it - perhaps the local ambiance helps since it's hidden away in the neighborhood. Highly recommend for a group of 4 (as we were). So happy to have a good tapas place near my old stomping grounds. Don't forget the drinks!
A classic tapas place in Villeray. Funky decor. Attentive staff that explains the menu with great care. A mix of traditional and reinvented plates. Interesting wine menu.
Pricey but tasty
Definitely one of the best tapas places in town. I have been there on a couple of occasions and each time enjoyed it a lot. The food is tasty and the tapas they offer are interesting. The service is also friendly. If you go in a group, you can have a group special.
We had the group menu which consist of a variety of the tapas. Generally good, some of the dishes are an acquired taste. Ambiance and service also good.

Highly recommend the octopus salad, ceviche, cod fritters, lamb skewers, and basque cake.
Great dinner overall. The service is lovely, everyone is very friendly and helpful. Food was fresh. The sardines were my favourite. Paella was amazing but on the pricey end. Patatas bravas was average and the octopus salad had some good and some ok pieces. Would come back :)
Definitely love Spanish dishes here! Seafood risotto is a die for, octopus salad is also tasty. A must try in the town!

Nice ambiance and kind staff. Seating is a little restricted but makes for a cozy vibe. I was lucky enough to have a relatively well placed table.
The shrimp was fantastic. Had a slight issue with the food but easily resolved with the manager. Excellent Long Island, kudos to the bartender.
Will be going back to try some of the other tapas. 5/5 thanks to the manager (Sebastián). He took the time to speak to me and recommended the must-try’s!

My first visit, almost 10 years ago, was memorable, the food was excellent, every plate had its own identity with different and unique flavors. Service was impeccable as well.
Because of COVID, no traveling, no real holidays. So I decided to bring my whole family to travel around the world through fabulous restaurants. Tapeo was for Spain! My children are 3 severe culinary critics from 14 to 10. They are curious, ask a lot of questions to the waiters, tastes everything and they have comments for every bite they take. This visit was another memorable one, it was literally the apotheosis of our culinary journey. Everybody chose few plates to share and most of the choice were fantastic, with again very distinct and unique flavors. The onglet carpaccio, the tuna, the beef tartare were very good. The only down side about this experience was the face mask and the face shield. It was very hard to hear the waiter clearly from the whole table, so I had to repeat every sentence. But still, the waiters were very patient and courteous despite the current situation.
