Had an amazing experience last night at Tuck Shop. Service was just perfect, the whole staff was polite, friendly, smiling, and seemed to genuinely have fun. We were sitting at the oyster bar, and had a great view of the prep area and kitchen, and believe me it was very fun and enjoyable to interact with the staff and watching them do their magic.
Our food was excellent. I had an oyster platter and the pulled-pork raviolis. Oysters were super fresh, and the home-made condiments were to die for. Raviolis were tasty and delicate.
My wife had the beef tartare, and it was truly the best I have ever tasted. I've never seen filet mignon so thinly diced, and it was an experience seeing the chef prepare it right in front of us. As an entree she had snow crab, prepared on the shell with small veggies and a delicate but tasty sauce. Very, very good.
The decor is also very nice. Not too noisy, but just enough atmosphere to make everybody enjoy the evening, and the staff made us feel right at home.
We will definitely have a meal at Tuck Shop.
The professional staff at Tuck Shop -is ready to serve and take good care of each guest. We chose our cocktails from a well curated list of unique choices. Our server was thoughtful explained the whole menu and gave her recommendations. Appetizers from the iconic market salad to fois gras - 4 different picks - 4 outstanding starters. The mains arrived and all the plates arrived in unison as they should.Again 4 different choices every one outstanding This is what I look for in a fine dining establishment. No surprises - just consistency and quality...and this was well noted by our guests for the evening who had never been to this fine restaurant before. Thank you Tuck Shop - you never disappoint.

My wife and I have been coming back to Montreal a few times a year simply because of how vibrant the culinary scene is here in Montreal, and Tuck shop is easily hands down the best restaurant you need to try when you visit Montreal. The host is amazing, the attention to detail and attentiveness from the servers are exceptional, is the kind of services that will make your day, a team that cares about their restaurant and it reflects from every aspect of the meal. Needless to say, the food was amazing, and we can't wait to be back again!
Incredible experience since walking in the door, once at our table the server greeted us with the best service and continued to do so until we left. The food is prepared so carefully and with great flavours and techniques. Sommelier helped us choose a fantastic wine. When we left, we felt like almost sad with everyone saying goodbye to us as we were all friends. It’s noticeable that everyone that works there cares about the client and about how the restaurant presents to these clients. It feels that everyone wants to represent their restaurant as if they were all the owners with the help of a good manager and staff that shows how much they care, transpires to a beautiful experience. It’s very obvious that they are running things right! This is honestly refreshing because some restaurants the better they get, the service worsens and this is really not the case here. I’ll be going back any chance I get!
Tuck Shop was wonderful. The owner told me, it is all about the ingredients, the people/team who prepare and serve the food and the attitude. All where fantastic ... if you are in Montreal, don't miss it.

There food and service has been consistent for year’s. It’s actually in my top three favourite restaurants in Montreal especially since the service is so good and the waitress or waiter can help you with whatever you’re looking for whether it’s a good cocktail or a great appetizer.
Second time here. Will not be the last. Thanks to the great service from Jonathan and Joey. Amazing food and atmosphere. Service is top notch. This place is small but punches far above its weight and wont hesitate in recommending for future visits. Thank you
Arguably one of the best restaurants in town. Fantastic service and menu, even when we went in a pandemic setting. Staff was pleasant, knowledgeable and extremely professional. Wine pairing was well-executed. I love the fact that the restaurant does have a great atmosphere despite its size. I also like the fact that we can have late-night reservations.
I was in Montreal for a week, visited quite a couple of restaurant, some really famous ones, and Tuck shop is hands down my favorite of all of them. The food was out of this world. I got the octopus and hanger steak and they were both super delicious. Also got a seasonal cocktail that wasn't even on the menu and it was bomb. The vibe and service were all really cool too. I'll definitely be back if I come to Montreal again
What a delightful dining experience. We were seated at the oyster bar, and had top notch views of our oysters and scallops starters being prepared. The starters were impeccable. We then enjoyed a couple of glasses of wine (great recommendation by the staff) while awaiting our mains. We had the rack of lamb and the beef rib. Both were tender and delicious. Dinner was capped off by the caramel apple pie, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream (which almost stole the show from the pie's crust).
The ambiance was enjoyable, and the staff were all very attentive and friendly. Tuck shop is highly recommended and we will definitely be returning.
