Krazzy Gyro

I stumbled upon another gem! Today I was in the parking lot of Open Cork restaurant on Dundas St. E and I only had 20 minutes until my lunch was over and I still had to get the food and then go back so I decided that maybe ordering pasta would take too long and I would definitely be late. But I thought ok whatever I guess since I'm already here it's too late to go somewhere else. So I'm looking for a parking spot and they were all taken and I drive around and see a place called "Krazzy Gyros" and I thought what is that?! How come I have never seen it before? It is kind of hidden and I would have never seen it from the road side. I decided to give it a shot as I knew it would be faster for me and because the name was awesome. As I walked toward it I could hear Greek music being played from outside which was even more awesome! Then when I went inside to my surprise it looks small from outside but it's actually roomy. There are many spots to sit at and the place seemed clean. The red walls and décor everywhere were very intriguing to the eye - especially all the random Betty Boop paraphernalia and things that made this particular restaurant unique. The service was great! and they even sell jewelry- who would have thought??! I got my mom the first part of her Christmas present here for only 10.00 (it was a really beautiful necklace by the way) one of the better costume jewelries I have seen. But back to the food! I obviously got the veggie platter (I didn't see it on the menu in person but I knew they had one) as on the menu they have all of the things I wanted listed as sides only. So apparently the veggie combo is 10.00 and you get pita, salad, potatoes and rice- no drink. The veggie platter is on the physical copy of the menu however. The pitas were awesome - perfectly toasted and tasty I ate them right away. The tzatziki sauce was a little lemony ish but was alright... just not garlicky enough for me haha... and the lemon potatoes were on point. They only give you two I'm guessing because they are huge.  The flavor and texture was good. And the rice was good too. The salad was good however the portion was a little too small for my liking :-( and had a lot of those stemmy pieces I hate like the clusters of lettuce (the heart part) but the pieces that weren't the stemmy heart part of the lettuce were soooo good I just want like a mountain of that with their salad dressing which was amazing. Next time I will kindly ask them to give me a more generous portion :P the rice and potatoes and pita were filling though and just the right portion... I will definitely return with my family... Happy to support one of these types of mom and pop shops for sure :-) not your typical mr.greek and have their own style.
