Small take out joint that is run by a very nice family. They seem to love what they do and it shows. The fellow at the till was very helpful in making our choices and even gave us a sample of pork and slaw to try before ordering. We ordered 2 of them after tasting how good it was, we also order a full rack of ribs and all I can say about them is WOW they were so good we took a second rack home for later. A must try and yes we will be back.
I popped in here as smokehouse's are literally my favorite places and the The Fry was closed. The menu is full of irresistible choices to meat any carnivore's dream. Brisket is the bomb so I got the large sized poutine to go with a ginger ale and corn bread. Came up to $17.25 in total the wait was not long the space is good to dine if your on a lunch break. I literally couldn't stop eating it by the time I got home marinated to perfection even when my stomach was full warmed the rest up the next day just as heavenly !
Used groupon, got pork and slaw. Big sandwich, good pork, great slaw. Nice owner working there, family place. If this was my town, I'd be back to try more.
Best bbq in the area great service! Clean food is good! I really like these guys. You can tell the owner knows his stuff came here with my girlfriend I got the brisket sandwich she got the pork n slaw. For what these guys do you can't knock em at all n the prices are really good. Definitely a must try place
Excellent BBQ for a urban restaurant. We had the cheesesteak and the beef brisket. Finished with a baked mac n cheese and red potato salad. All good.

Holy Smokez is this tiny hole on Dundas St in 'Sauga. The place itself is tiny and has one table and a lunch counter of which will fill in as soon as the lunch hour strikes. The menu is strictly sandwiches with some rib dinners if interested. They have a large number of sides for a BBQ place and all seemed interesting, but I was here for just a simple brisket sandwich.
The Beef Brisket sandwich ($7.99) is a dense little sandwich that was packed with shredded beef brisket. I was a bit sad to see it shredded as opposed to sliced, but the taste would have been roughly the same. The bbq sauce is sweet and held the meat together very well. It felt more like I was eating a pulled pork sandwich. The sauce was good, and the meat was definitely tender. There was a good amount of meat, and the bread wasn't anything special but was enough to hold all that sticky mess together.
I would come again to try other sandwiches, but it isn't the most amazing thing. This place is PACKED during lunch so expect a bit of a wait. Prices are decent and the guy behind the counter is a great guy who's working hard with one other person, so I'd be in to come back.
Holy Smokez is right!!! I finally tried this place after driving by it for years and I wish I had sooner. The place itself is pretty small and it's easy to miss with not a lot of seating. A lot of people were placing orders to go but it wasn't busy.
I had the pulled pork and coleslaw sandwich, made it a combo with fries and a drink. The pulled pulled was juicy and full of deliciousness and the coleslaw really added a nice zing to it. Fries were hot and fresh and sprinkled with sea salt. And the baked beans I fell in love with.. Definitely not out of a can!
I can't wait to go back and try the chicken sandwich and other sides. This place really hit the spot and the portions were nice too. Service was very welcoming and fast. Must try!
As recommended by Holy Smokez, I tried the pulled pork with coleslaw
It was very good. Their famous Sauce is very tasty, but very overpowering and overwhelming. At times I wish their was less of it, but towards the end of the sandwich I wish there was more of it. Without the sauce it did get try and tasteless towards the end.
The coleslaw gave another dimension to the sandwich which was much needed
Had a craving for bbq and was too lazy to do it myself. Got a full rack of ribs, pork & slaw and chilli cheese fries. Ribs were very tender, with a very obvious smokey flavour and quite tasty. Pork and slaw was ok. Wish the bun was toasted. The fries were ok. It was definitely frozen before but it is smothered in cheese and cheese makes everything better. Good place for a bbq fix.
