Great place, great food. Please bring the hot pot back to the menu. Many friends of mine requested.
Finally there a legit Vietnamese restaurant that actually has authentic Vietnamese food! There's items on the menu you don't find in your usual pho store like hot pot!! I've actually been going there once a week for 3 weeks now. Love it! My favourite is their bun Bo hue and the duck hot pot.
Located a little out of the way in an industrial complex, this is definitely as other reviewers have said, a hidden gem. Very tasty food, and some unique offerings that I’ve never tried before at a Vietnamese restaurant! Service is also quick and attentive, and I could overheard some staff happily conversing with some regulars at another table about their families as well. It feels like this restaurant is well established in the area, especially as the parking lot seemed to be filled mainly for this restaurant alone! Would definitely recommend and come back again!
Hands down best aesthetics and decor for a Vietnamese restaurant. It is authentic, servers are in dress shirts, polite staff and they even sell some Vietnamese food items up front.
If you pay cash, you get a slight discount. Note, you do have to go up front to pay.
The vermicelli was really good! Decent portions, great flavours and amazing presentation. Everything was perfected. The mango salad was flavourful with a hint of sourness to it. It is a bit on the pricier side relative to other Vietnamese restaurants but definitely worth the price.
Would come back again to try their other dishes next time! It is my favourite Vietnamese restaurant in the GTA now.
Easily top 3 or possibly the best Vietnamese restaurant in town. Ambience gives you somewhat of an authentic Vietnamese dining experience, and the two times I’ve been I received good service, so no complaints there. Ordered my favourite—the Grilled Chicken. Almost perfect, except I had to pay extra for the soup on the side, which I would get for free at most Vietnamese restaurants, and the tea, I had to pay extra for that too—again, free at most Vietnamese restaurants. The food was slightly pricier than the norm, but I would go again because of the flavours, quality and presentation. It’s just, as much as I would love to give it five stars, I can’t because of the cons I’ve mentioned.
Edit: my apologies as the tea I was charged extra was at another restaurant. I have added one more well-deserved star.
The first time we had got a take out and loved the food and so today we tried dine in and believe me the food quality was just as great. The servers are very courteous and your Vaccination and ID are both checked so be assured you are in a safe environment.
Was surprised how busy this place was at 1600 hrs!
Food came pretty quickly.
the beef broth soup was just amazing. The fried calamari with the sauce was just perfect and so were the other two dishes. The helpings are a pretty decent size and prices just right.
Loved the ambiance and the xMas decor!
Only thing which I had a grievance about is the tea is never really hot even though we requested for a hot pot!
Not only is this place beautiful to be in but the food is absolutely scrumptious too!
I know I know the plastic cup for vietnamese coffee is usually a bad sign but I think it tasted really good! Mango papaya salad - awesome (maybe a bit too much basil for my taste but that's preference). Pho of course delicious and quite clean. Vermicelli with assorted sides - loved it.
If you're nearby, I would recommend on ambience alone :)
I went here with my family and I have to say, the food is absolutely amazing! I ordered the medium size pho with Vietnamese coffee and Vietnamese spring roll. The taste is great with a nice scent to it, the meat portion was amazing as well! Service here is top notch and respectful. Beautiful decor and scenery in the restaurant! Will definitely be coming back!
The very definition of a hidden gem!
Completely unassuming exterior in an industrial area. Walk through the doors and you are transported to a setting that is genuinely homey and comfortable inside.
There are a lot of Vietnamese restaurants around, but this is a category above! Portion size is great, taste is outstanding.
A big draw is that they have genuine vegan options, including the pho. Owner told me her parents were Monks so they are experienced preparing strictly vegan food that tastes fantastic.
Friendly, efficient service and fast. The decor is a reason to visit and food presentation is excellent. The broken rice dishes are nice, though some of it could be more refined. Yet, for the price, portion, quality, variety and presentation, plus the service, they are good value eating.
