Will Definitely Return!. It was our one-month anniversary therefore, we decided to go The Keg as we had a gift certificate that we needed to use. When we walked in on a Tuesday evening, the place was actually quite full however, not too full as to cause a wealth of noise and congestion. We were greeted by the host, who asked us to take a seat as he prepared a table for us. After a few minutes, a young woman walked us to our table near the front of the restaurant. We hadn't made reservations as we had thought on a Tuesday evening, it wouldn't be too busy. The young woman provided us with menus, then informed us that our server, Dale, would be with us shortly. As we were scrolling through the menu, Dale approached us. He introduced himself, asked if there was a special occasion being celebrated, then proceeded to ask what drinks we would be interested in. He also went through in-depth the 'lobster' special, which was being featured at that time. When we told Dale that it was our anniversary, he kindly congratulated us, telling us that him and his girlfriend would also celebrate their monthly anniversaries. Once Dale had left to get our beverages, we scrolled through the menu, each choosing an entrée. My husband settled on the Sirloin Oscar with Baked Potato, while I chose the Pecan Sirloin with Mashed Potatoes. Dale had returned a few moments later with our drinks. He then took our order and went to prepare our complimentary bread.
After about 10 minutes, our complimentary bread appeared. The bread was beyond delicious; warm and crisp, it tasted as though it had just come out of the oven. The bread was accompanied with a large dish of spreadable butter which was well-received. As we were waiting for our main dishes to arrive, Dale would come and check on us frequently, asking if we wanted any more beverages or bread. He also assured us that our meals would be coming after a bit of time of waiting. Once the meals arrived, we were starving so, we dug in right away. The Pecan Sirloin was good however, I had ordered it as well-done which made it taste a bit tough, I will definitely reconsider having it medium or medium-rare next time around. I always like the mashed potatoes to be piping hot however, they weren't as hot as I would have liked. When Dale came around to see how the meals were, I told him that I had wanted my potatoes to be more hot. He told me that the kitchen could make me a new one however at that point, I had eaten more than half of my mashed potatoes. He double-checked with me before leaving the table; I had told him that I was okay with the potatoes as they were. He was very considerate, which I took into account as he served us. My husband's dish of Sirloin Oscar was moist and large, which he thoroughly enjoyed. He especially liked the baked potato as Dale had brought over bacon bits, onions, sour cream, and butter to load into the potato, something that my husband enjoyed profusely.
After we had finished our main dishes, Dale came over and told us that dessert was complimentary due to us celebrating an anniversary. We both settled on the mini-desserts, which were 3 for $8. After about ten minutes, the desserts arrived to our pleasure. The butter tart was simply amazing, along with the mango cake, and chocolate brownie. Each dish had a scoop of vanilla ice cream, with beautiful designs laid-out on the plate. We thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary desserts, it was very kind of Dale to recognize our anniversary. Once the dessert had arrived, we had asked Dale for the bill. Since we had a $25 gift card, the remaining total was only $38, which we thought was fair considering we had each eaten a substantial amount of food. We also enjoyed having Dale as our server. He went above and beyond to create a wonderful experience for us. I have been to other Keg locations and was not impressed however, this location really impressed me. Food, service, and atmosphere was top-notch, and all will definitely bring me back here in the future!
