Sooooooo delicious! Prob the best Hong Kong waffle I’ve tried and the ice cream was sooooo creamy. Had the skor and chocolate chip waffle with vanilla earl grey twist ice cream. The only thing I would add would be some real fruit toppings like strawberry, blueberry, banana... etc. That would take things to ANOTHER level. Owners if you’re reading this.... please please add fresh fruit as an option, thank me later :)
Be sure to order Extra Crispy! I never liked these Hong Kong style egg waffles until I tried them at Woofles and Cream! But the trick is to order them extra crispy. I don't know how they do it, but their batter is light enough that it's not heavy or dense (in fact it's light and airy), but it's substantial enough to hold heavy ingredients like black sesame seeds, peanuts, coconut, and even savoury toppings. I LOVE their black sesame woofles with their black sesame soft serve. I can't get enough of this place. It's a bit pricey, but very worth it to me, because I am very picky about my waffles. Again, don't forget to ask for Extra Crispy woofles! Also I find they are quite consistent.
The cookies and cream woofle was definitely unique and you could taste the bits of Oreo cookie in them. However I wish the woofles were not as crispy and more fluffy like the traditional Hong Kong styled waffle. The ice cream was nothing special, the Matcha ice cream could be more rich in flavour.
I only had the soft serve here so I didn't have to wait long for my order. I had the matcha soft serve. It had a light matcha flavour and was sweet. I was expecting a stronger matcha flavour though. The soft serve did hold up pretty well and did not melt quickly so that was good.
I have been occupied with other stuff like (finally) watching Descendants of the Sun – which I absolutely fell in love with!! & Also watched a couple of other tv series like Sherlock Holmes, Grey’s Anatomy (again for the 999th time), have been reading books, doing errands, etc. More on what I’ve been doing here!
Looks and tastes delicious!. The store is located inside New Kennedy Square right at the food court. The prices can be quite expensive but for the quality and the portion sizes I'd say it's worth it. If you want the wooffles and cream, you first select your choice of egg waffle, soft serve ice cream flavour and toppings (or none). Once you place your order, they freshly make your waffle and allow it to cool before adding the soft serve ice cream. It may take a while to receive your order but knowing that everything is freshly prepared makes it worth the wait.
With a recommendation from a work colleague, I decided to get the Lap Cheong (chinese sausage) & Seaweed egg waffle. It was crispy and delicate. Very delicious! The sweetness of the waffle went well with the savoriness of the lap cheong. As for the exterior, it was semi-crispy and a bit oily. Went at lunch time opening time and there was lucky no line. Waited for 5 mins for the waffle. The store owner said that the cookies and cream is another popular flavour. My stomach will take this challenge for another time.
Overall a good experience and definitely would return to try their new soft serve flavours!
This place is located in the middle of the foodcourt at Kennedy and hwy 7. I thought this would have been a nice place to sit and have a treat, but it's located a in the middle of the food court. Depending on the time of day, it could be crowded or totally empty. It takes about 10mins to have you wooffles freshly made so be prepared to wait, especially if there is a bit of a line up as they only have 3 wooffle makers. It's definitely worth the wait as the ice cream is perfectly creamy and woofles stay perfectly crisp. I've been here 3 times and depending on the season, they offer some creative specials, which are usually limited time.
Tucked away in a little corner of a food court is this little piece of heaven! Had the cookies and cream waffle with matcha & vanilla twist soft serve ice cream...it was really good! A bit pricey but definitely worth trying :) C
The first and only time I've visited Wooffles so far was the day after its opening. As a result, my experience was relatively pleasant (I've heard horror stories of 45 min line-ups!). I tried their lap cheung seaweed egg waffles with matcha ice cream, served separately but eaten together. The savory + sweet combo was super yum, at least my taste buds thought so! Slightly overpriced in my opinion, but that's what happens with these food fads. I'll definitely visit again after the hype dies down — no 45 min waits for me!
*EDIT: Came back for a second visit and learned something new: no line-ups at 8 PM on a weeknight! The green tea soft serve is still as deliciously fragrant as ever ;3 I will definitely be back (on another weeknight!)
