Review Loui's Kouzina - Markham

Small plates are delicious here ! I would recommend this if you are hungry ! Portions are well sized at the price. My go to place for souvlaki dinner around the area. Very home style. A++.

I chose pork souvlaki on a bun and it was generally good, but the pork pieces are somewhat on the small side and a little chewy; it's hard to find good pork souvlaki. The tzatziki was actually quite good, which is something that I find can be a real hit or miss item. I'll visit again but next time it'll be the chicken souvlaki or gyro in a pita. **Update: After another visit, I had the small plate chicken souvlaki with the roasted potatoes. The chicken was tender and flavourful, the potatoes could use more salt and pepper, but overall the food was good and the serving is quite large, excellent value for the money. I've upgraded my review to four stars.

Whenever I crave Greek I crave this place! Made to order meat, succulent, and delicious! Their pork is my favorite, has the right amount of fat! Prices are reasonable too, I believe ownership changed a few years ago, but the cooks appear to be the same, so the food is still top notch. We've been going for years! I give them 9/10!

These pictures are from a pre-covid dining experience but I have also purchased takeout from them a few times during the pandemic as well! I really liked going here with my coworkers when I used to work nearby because the pottions served here are HUGE đŸ„ł -[TARAMOSALATA] $7.50 It looks like a pink paste/goo haha but don't be scared! The reason for its color is because it is made out of a blended combination of red fish roe, extra virgin oil, garlic, and lemon juice! It is also served with grilled pita slices đŸ€€ This is definitely a saltier dish that they serve but I honestly love how much of the taramosalata that they give! I love spreading it on a freshly toasted piece of bread 🍞 -[CHICKEN SOUVLAKI-SMALL PLATE] $14.50 So THIS is the "small" plate but I am 99% sure I was unable to finish this in one sitting 😂 because of the aforementioned large portions! Comes with TWO skewers of chicken souvlaki, a greek salad and your choice of one of the following: fries, mixed vegetables, rice, or roasted potatoes! (I highly recommend their roasted potatoes đŸ„”đŸ”„) They are extremely flavorful and just warm me right up when I eat them đŸ€€ Definitely give this place a try if you're looking for delicious Greek food for a good price đŸ€©

If you’re in the area and craving Greek food, I recommend coming here. This restaurant is easily walked by and missed, but it’s great. The food is always cooked fresh and is consistent while the staff is friendly. I always get the chicken souvlaki plate and I’m never disappointed with either the portions or taste. The restaurant is small and has a bit of a wait if you come during busy time. Luckily you can do take out as well.

This is a nice place for Greek food. Best value and delicious. The grilled octopus is outstanding. We love the pork souvlaki.

One of my favourite places for Greek food uptown. Small restaurant with excellent food and great service. Great flavourful gyro that's not too salty or dry and excellent tzatziki sauce that tastes very fresh. You will want to slather it on everything.

I absolutely love this place! Best Greek food on the planet. Great prices, great food and amazing service! Servers are super friendly! Two thumbs way upđŸ‘đŸ»đŸ‘đŸ»

We were in the area and went to this restaurant based on the many positive reviews I saw on tripadvisor, They are correct, and we were delighted with our lunch.

Walking in you notice the delicious aroma of good cooking. The staff are friendly, courteous, and efficient. The decor is bright and clean, with big photos of sunny Greek islands which non the less allow you to dream a little that you are there. It was quite full the Tuesday we went by, but the service remained fast.

My wife loves grilled Calamari, and it is quite hard to find with most places opting out for deep fried. That is probably because it is not an easy dish to get right. Most often it is overcooked and rubbery. The grilled calamari here is exceptional. Tender and tasty with just the right (tiny) amount of "blackening". I ordered the Lamb Kebob and was very happy when it arrived rare as requested and again tender and tasty. You get a choice of sides. The rice is lemony and delicious. The roasted potatoes were yummy. I almost never order them, but went for the onion rings, and they were to die for. Leave your calorie counter at home. Nothing that tastes that good can be bad for you. It comes with big Greek Salads and the portions are large so I noticed many people asking for and cheerfully receiving "doggie" boxes.

Finally, we shared a piece of an over the top fudge cake with chocolate sauce, and more chocolate and more fudge. A big chunk of that came home with us.

First class. We'll go back again when we are up that way.

We had the home burger which was good and large. Fries where fresh. Seems like a good place. Would recommend if your in the area looking to eat

2017/03/04
We have been to Loui's Kouzina for dinner once before and liked it, and it was time for another visit. We got there about 6 pm, and the restaurant was about half full. By the time we left, there were no empty tables. Today we happened to be seated beside the open kitchen, which was a continuous hub of noise and activity, with the head chef keeping control of the chaos between dining room and rajout orders.

We started out by sharing one order of Spanakopita. Seasoned, cooked spinach, wrapped in concentric rings of philo pastry. A little crunch, a bit of softness, a lot of flavour.

SWMBO ordered the small Greek Salad and added grilled filet of chicken breast. The chicken was sliced into thin strips, served on top of the salad; it was a bit dry.

I had one of my Greek favourites: Moussaka. This was one of the better ones. The eggplant was cooked all the way through, the ground beef had flavour, and the bechamel was soft and pillowy, with a pleasant flavour of its own.

Service was very good. Although we did have a primary server, they use the team approach, where everyone pitches in to make sure that the customers' needs are met.

It use to be good but food quality has declined a lot. Last I went there were wood splinters found in the meats. Steering clear away for a while

We came here, because it was close by and someone had said it was pretty good. Although the staff was quite friendly we were really disappointed with the food. The portion was much smaller than what we are used to from other establishments and they only give you a tiny little container of tzaziki sauce and if you ask for more it is extra on top of the above average price you are already paying for the meal. I would not recommend this place.

My colleagues are crazy about the food here; we order from Loui's at least once a month. We love to order Saganaki and Grilled Kalamari to share, and then we usually get Souvlaki on Pita. All their meats are tender and juicy, with some fatty parts, which probably helps! Both the pita and the buns here are freshly baked and still warm when they arrive at our office. One of my colleagues swears that the buns taste BETTER after you re-bake them the next day! Greek food in Markham probably doesn't get more authentic than Loui's.

Last night we broke one of our cardinal rules. Never eat in a restaurant with no one else in it. We did arrive for an early dinner at 5. This was one of my wife's favorites. This time she decided to try the lamb plate done medium. And the salad with the taziki on the side. Well the salad came with the taziki on it and the server reluctantly replaced it. The lamb came well done and excessively peppery. When the waitress asked if we were finished with 2/3 of the lamb still on the plate my wife said yes. And she did not want to take it home as it was too peppery and well done. When we arrived we asked for a couple of classes with lemon. They arrived with no lemon. When we asked again we were brought to minute slices on a small plate. My wife got up and went and got some real slices. Anyway, long story short, my wife said if no one says anything we will not be coming back. We were presented with a full bill and no apologies. We left and will not be going back

I discovered Loui Kouzina on Zomato since there were so many positive reviews. I felt like I had to try their food. The atmosphere is lacking, nothing special. I tried their chicken souvlaki plate as well as their Moussaka and salad. The beef Moussaka was quite delicious. It tasted like a sheppard pie. It was creamy, soft and flavourful. The chicken souvlaki was like any other chicken souvlaki (nothing special but tastes good). Overall, I would say this place is a bit more pricier than other commonly known greek restaurants. The portion sizes are not very large but is enough for an individual that's not extremely hungry.

I've been here a few times now to order take out for lunch. I have tried the small pork and chicken souvlaki plates, both with the roasted potatoes. The food is absolutely delicious and fairly good value for money. The plate comes with a Greek salad and a buttered toasted hot dog bun. Maybe it was garlic bread? It's hard to tell among the rest of the garlic in the meal. Either way, it was good. I plan on keeping coming here for the occasional lunch, as it's nearby to my work.

I used to really like this place, I came here on my birthday and all of my guests really enjoyed the food. However, the next time that I went back I got the chicken kebabs. The meat on the inside was slightly pink but looked cooked all the way through (the same way chicken wings can look pink even when cooked). That was a a bad judgment on my part. I was very sick for the next 36 hours, as I was unable to keep any food down. This was around 2 years ago so it's possible that the quality has improved, but I'm not taking the risk.

When i think of Greek food, I always think of Loui's Kouzina! Forget the Danforth, this is where it's at! Love their appetizer dishes and main courses. The value is there. Their service is not amazing but good. I haven't been up there in a while but I'm sure if I went for a visit now, it'll be exactly like my last visit. Try their flaming cheese dish!

Excellent!!. Very friendly staff, quick service, clean. Have had numerous lunches here and all have been extremely delicious and fresh. Souvlaki is very generous and they give you tons of buttery fresh garlic bread on the side. The seafood combo is also really good. Great for those who love Greek/Mediterranean food and grilled meats. Two thumbs up!

Very pleasurable experience!
Nice, clean place, no dusty-sticky..

Food was amazing, big portions. We got small gyro and small souvlaki. Very tasty! All home made!

Friendly and fast service!

Wanna good greek food?
Defineyely stop by!
Mike
Food very average, place looks good, service is good. Like the title says, food is very average.
The place does look good, and service is good.
Bottom line is just not worth going out for this type of food/experience. If it was at home, I wouldn't complain.
Mr.Drew
Great spot. Eat here all the time
Quality food
Fair prices

Came Highly Recommended But Fell Short. This restaurant came highly recommended by many friends. We were excited to try to but unfortunately, the only thing that was great was the garlic bread. We ordered the chicken souvlaki dinner with rice and potatoes. Everything was over-salted. We could've gotten better Greek food from a fast-food joint from the Mall.

Worst Service I have ever had. I used to love this restaurant. They had amazing food and good service. I went there one night in the hopes of having a good meal and a good service which is a usual at this establishment. When I got there it was the exact opposite. I have never had service so horrible in my entire life. We waited to be seated and were ignored for 20 minutes. Even patrons of the restaurant were looking at us wondering why we weren't being acknowledged. FInally after 20 minutes a waitress came up to us and said she would put two tables together so we could eat. By the time she had approached us another group had come in and we were now blocking the entire doorway of the restaurant for people leaving and picking up take out orders. We saw a table being that was vacated and cleared and decided to sit down to clear up the space by the door which was a help for staff and patrons to move around more freely because the restaurant is a small place. Once we sat the rude waiter came up to us put napkins in the middle of the table with the utensils on top. Refusing to set up the table. He then told the table beside us that he "resented people sitting themselves". I have never seated myself at restaurant we sat down to get out of the doorway. He also told the table beside us that he gave us the dull knives and that their knives would be better. I am not blaming the restaurant for being busy we expected that. But to not even be acknowledged was ridiculous. And to be spoken about directly behind was immature and unprofessional. We don't like to create problems so we weren't going to say anything about about being ignored and horrible table set up. For the waiter to be blatantly rude refusing to set the table and giving us bad utensils is ridiculous. I will never go back to this establishment!

Food was great!. My work ordered food from this restaurant for our Christmas party on Tuesday, December 18. I found it very good... the kebabs/shawarma were delicious and filling (usually other restaurants I've been to, those tend to be small and not very filling). We also had rice, 2 salads (one with feta cheese and one without which I was grateful for since I have a slight issue with feta cheese), and some bread (I don't know the name of the triangular shaped bread). Hope to actually visit the restaurant sometime :).

New Owners = Bad Service/Bad Food. Went to Loui's tonight to find out that the owners have changed the good food and friendly service is a thing of the past. Service is disorganized and they don't listen to orders properly, after they drop the food at your table they don't even come back to check on you!

The worst part is the new owners are Persian WTF do they know about Greek food! The food is salty, and portions are smaller. Please change the name of the place. To Persian Kitchen and serve Kabob's!

We will not return and not recommend to anyone we know!

OMG this place is AMAZING. I recently go there with my friends, we were around 10 and each of us order different kinds of food also with desert! everything was so good, and servers were so friendly. i really liked the pictures on the wall and also music. this restaurant is one of the best Greek Restaurant in Markham, and i recommended to everyone who like Greek food.
Titi
I really like this place!! I had my birthday party there with my friends, the servers were so friendly to me and the foods were so delicious, im gonna go again for sure! Loving this restuarant

Loui's Kouzinas - New Owner = Bad Food/Service. This was one of our favourite Greek restaurants in Markham. It was a jewel that we shared with friends and family.

We went there tonight with friends and to our surprise the place was sold to a new owner. Not only was the service disorganized & frantic, but the food was over seasoned. Food portions were considerably smaller than usual.

Not that portion size mattered tonight because no one could finish what they had on their plates because the food was either over done or too salty. When we told the server our food was too salty, he laughed it off and said they were having an issue with salt this week. ??!!??

We definitely do not recommend this restaurant anymore. It is no longer the best Greek food in all of Markham. What a shame.

They have recently changed owners at Loui's and it is just not the same. We have eaten here many times and know the menu quite well. It was a huge disappointment. Lower standards of meat, smaller portions and a lack of knowledge about Greek cuisine. This used to be our go to place for great Greek but its back down to Danforth we go. Stay away from this place.

Real nice atmosphere with gorgeous photos of Greece on the walls. Friendly staff...food is good with light subtle flavours. My wife had the small chicken souvlaki, with potatoes & salad. It tasted good but the salad was really soggy. I had the chicken fillet sandwich with fries. Again, real good though the fries were a tad over fried. I will definitely be back!!

This place is great and I wish I knew about it earlier. No need to drive all the way down to the danforth anymore. I had some simple appetizers and small chicken plate and everything was great. I'll definitely come back here alot more often. Staff are super friendly and prices are very reasonable.

Good stuff!. We were in a hotel in Markham and wanted a good dinner, but didn't feel like sitting in a restaurant and didn't feel like Asian. A *lot* of Googling had us semi-depressed--everything non-Asian was far away. Then we found Loui's.

I ran up and brought the food back, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm part Greek and have eaten more than my share of Greek food over the years. A lot of times it's so-so, even if some people rave about it. Not everything was "The best we've ever had!" but everything was well above average, and plentiful; we definitely overachieved on quantity.

The young lady at the counter was Greek, and was extremely personable.

If I didn't live 500+ miles from here, I'd make it a regular spot!
Jason
What an amazing little restaurant souvlaki was perfect. Saganaki is a must. If you don't know what it is. It's basically cheese lit on fire. Sooo good. Rice is good potatoes are too. I'm Greek and I go to a lot of Greek restaurants I think it's the best in town. Try it out you will be full.

Fantastic Greek dishes!. Oh my... I live downtown but I would definitely make my trip ALL the way up there for their Trio dish!!! I remember watching one of the EuroCup games while eating the food and let me tell you... the game was NOT distracting my concentration on tasting the food! There were the 2 of us and we ordered a Trio dish which is basically pita and 3 kinds of dips. They were ALL very good. The salad was HUGE. The sandwich was HUGE. Not just the size guys, but the quality was fantastic! The waitress who helped us was SUPER friendly too... kudos to her! I highly highly highly recommend this place for some Greek food uptown!

Friendly and attentive service, large portions, great food

I wasn't too big on the veggie platter (the potatoes/rice were good) but the restaurant has the best spinach pie I have ever had. I am definitely coming back to try a different dish. The entire restaurant was really busy so clearly a lot of people love it here.

Great food and service!. We really enjoy this little neighbourhood restaurant both for take out and dining. The lamb dishes are particularly good. Highly recommend it.

Best Greek food in Markham, possibly in the GTA!. I have been frequenting LK for about 2 years now. I can't say enough nice things about this Family owned and operated restaurant. The satff are super friendly and accomodating. Food is always cooked fresh and served hot. Prices are very reasonable, great value!
Make sure you try them for breakfast as well!
Please don't eat here if you are used to that garbage psuedo-Greek food they serve at those chain restaurants. The food here is authentic and tasty.
Shout out to Crystal my favourite server!

Early Saturday night dinner, spinach dip was gooey and awesome. Large gyro plate was huge and delicious, sides were abundant. Excellent service. Recommend.

Response to Mr.Drummond's Arrogance. First and foremost Mr.Drummond, if you had any class at all you would certainly be more courteous, rather than disrespect and put down the staff at Louis' Kouzina. What exactly does being 'on the heavy side' have to do with anything at all. The fact that you didn't even bother to learn the waitress' name is proof enough of how rude you may have been. With regards to your comment in general, they have never been arrogant nor have they been sarcastic, but if you ask me you probably deserved it! Secondly, and most importantly, if you compare Louis' Kouzina to Mr.Greek my friend
well, that says it all for you; you most definitely have zero class and no taste at all in Greek food!! "Mr.Greek KNOCKOFF"???? Are you kidding me???? Have you even eaten that garbage before? Louis Kouzina is by far more superior to the junk Mr.Greek serves. I do apologize if the "Tangy Sauce" was too much for you, but that is how Tzatziki is made my friend
oh ya, I do apologize again, because I am sure you are unaware of how it should taste if you have been eating Mr.Greek's runny and watery version of Tzatziki. Furthermore, if the lettuce is not the size you may need it to be, next time look down at the knife that is usually strategically placed near your plate, pick it up and use it to cut your lettuce. Overall, in order to judge and know what you are talking about, you must have some class, and certainly some experience. In addition to that, take a look at how busy Louis' is and just how many people love it there. I'm sorry you had a bad experience, but you couldn't be more further from the truth, Louis' Kouzina is a phenomenal restaurant!!! Get it straight Mr. Drummond! I have been going to Louis' Kouzina since it has opened and it's a fantastic place, I hope that you try it again some day and see what over 95% of the public do. Keep up the great work Louis' Kouzina!!
John Smyth
A place you'll fall in love with. I frequent Loui's Kouzina and I've NEVER had a bad meal! The food, service and atmosphere is fantastic. Great place to visit...you'll never be disappointed.
Ian Drummond
Mr Greek KNOCKOFF! - Tangy sauce - Salad was a joke -- must learn how to cut lettuce properly I might add! - Potatoes were too mushy, f I wanted it mashed I would have ordered it! It was like eating somebody's leftovers?!? - I might have had a more positive personal review and probably would have overlooked the sub par of the quality of food I was served, but what sealed the deal for me was the sarcastic/arrogant waitress that waited on us that evening......I'm not too sure if she was the owner or not (I highly doubt it though) if the owner of this restaurant reads this review please send (not sure of the name of the waitress, she is just on the heavy side) get to some basic training on how to wait on customers or else individuals like myself won't have to post these negative reviews.
Harvey Knapp
We arrived to a short line-up. My wife asked if they were taking names and party sizes. For no apparent reason, she was told "You don't have to be rude". She appeared to have a chip on her shoulder. We left and will not go back.

Delicious jewel. In a Sea of Asian Restaurants, this place is a delicious jewel in Markham. The first time we visited, my Husband and I shared a Dinner Plate. We went again recently and I didn't want to share my Fried Calamari. It was just too good.

Great food, great atmosphere and great service.

So good!. Try one of the souvlaki plates, they are the best!

EASY FAMILY EATS. My little family of four have been frequenting Loui's since they opened. We go there consistenly because it's one of the few spots where each one of us can find something we like to eat! With 3 picky eaters in the dynamic, let me tell ya, that's an outstanding bonus.

This cozy little restaurant is the whole package.
It's ambiance is pleasant, simple and clean.
The service is "always" efficient, welcoming and prompt.
The pricing is reasonable.
The meals are hot, fresh and ample.
When Loui is in the house - he makes sure he comes over to say hello and tease the kids.

The food is fresh and savory and the portions will satisfy all healthy eaters. I have to note that their tomato sauce pasta is one of the best I have ever had, only because it tastes so homemade with a unique blend of simply concocted flavours. YUM!

This is definitely a sure thing when you want a peaceful and satisfying dining out experience.

PS> Awesome breakfasts.

It's a no-brainer.

Ordered a gyro (yero) pita & was dissapoimted that it was not shaved meat but the mystery meat paste thing that most restos serve...although mystery meat as I call it the taste was really good! $5.25 for the pita! I'll post pics of the menu since I could nor find one online for my life haha! Overall considering it was not the authentic gyros like Messini in greektown serves it filled my belly! Had a lot of meat and tasted awesome just the same! Way better than mr.Greeks for sure! Hope this helps!
SC
Fantastic!. One of the better Greek restaurants I've been to! Don't let the suburban location fool you, this is a great eatery.
We've had the Gyros, the souvlaki, the calamari and more, and everything has been a delight.
Highly recommended!

Excellent food, beautiful decor and very reasonable prices.

Delicious food at an awesome price! if you like Greek food, you will for sure like this place. Great service from a family that makes you feel right at home!

Best Greek Food in town. Best food, best servings, best service. Warm friendly family to serve you the best greek food in the area. What a great find in Markham! 5 STARS

My personal favourites are the spinach dip, moussaka, and the pork souvlaki dinner. For appetizers, the spinach dip comes hot and gooey, and they offer the choice of grilled and/or fried pitas. The Greek fries are crisp and come with melty feta cheese. My favourite things to order for dinner are the moussaka, which is like a lasagna but with potato and eggplant instead of noodles. The pork souvlaki comes with a generous helping of tzatziki, and with the option of salad, potatoes, rice, or vegetables as your sides.
Stenoodie
Even when I heated up the gyros and pitas at home to enjoy, it was still so delicious! I really loved the taste of the gyros. I highly recommend this dish if you visit Loui’s! In future visits, I’d love to try more of their food and especially the desserts!
Alice Phan
Overall, what slapped a big smile on all of our faces leaving the place, were the flavours of the delicious authentic house-made dips still lingering among our tastebuds. Definitely a taste to come back to, over and over again. My only wish is that this place was closer!
Samshimi
The tzatziki is delicious and the portion is generous. It is refreshing, light, yet addicting - beware, consuming this appetizer without caution may lead it become your actual entree. What's amazing that it also tastes great with the souvlaki or the complimentary garlic bread (not pictured - but delicious!) if you have any left when those arrive.
Karen Ng
Verdict: super delicious! They had options to have a small plate or a large plate, and these were all small plates!! They give a really generous portion for everything. The pork was a little dry, but other than that, everything was absolutely delicious. So if you're in the area looking for a good little sit down restaurant and craving some tzatziki sauce.. Try this place out!
Hardtopleasefb
Overall, the food was decent but service was lacking. Will visit again if I ever want Greek food.
Whitney Tam
Good place for Greek food and souvlaki if you're in the uptown area! The price is pretty decent in regards to the portion size too.

Next time you're in the mood for Greek food, head over to Loui's cause you won't be disappointed but make sure you make a reservation if you come on a weekend for dinner cause every time I pass by, it's pretty packed.

Loui`s Kouzina is hidden, small Greek family owned restaurant in the plaza at Woodbine and 16th. I can`t believe I never notice this place before since I do come to this plaza for Lunch quite often. They have an open kitchen where you can see all the food being prepare although the counter remind me of take-out places which I bet it is especially during Lunch hour. I really can't take credit in choosing this place this time =P It was a dinner with two friends who bought their little baby with them, so this was a rather kid friendly restaurant that the pretty mummy choose. The service was very friendly and attentive, the lovely lady keep coming back to see if we were ok although she was by herself and super busy. Village Salad (small) Plenty of feta cheese and not overly dressed like most places. Quails ~ appetizers, 2 quails marinated and grilled to order. Pork Souvlaki Large Platter This probably the best pork souvlaki I have ever had, it was charred on the outside while the inside wa

The place is filled with pictures of Greece hanging on the walls and there's an open kitchen at the back of the restaurant where you can see the cook prepare the dishes

For some reason we were at a Greek restaurant for brunch and not surprisingly they didn't really have brunch food. Oh well, Greek food for brunch then! Kitty had the Moussaka ($13.25): layers of potato, ground beef, zucchini and eggplant topped with a bechamel sauce and Greek salad. It looks good, but from the bite I had it wasn't very good. Maybe because it wasn't fresh? I find this dish really hit or miss as in when it's good it's really good, but otherwise it's really bad. No in between. I had the standard Pork Souvlaki ($10.95). The pork itself was not that good and I have had better. Everything else was pretty good though. If I'm all the way out there I would more likely have some Chinese food rather than Greek food. I haven't been to Loui's Kouzina for a few years; and the rumour mill on other food posts indicates there was a change in ownership, and the new chef uses MSG in all of their dishes. I ordered the large lamb souvlaki dinner with rice and roasted potatoes which came with a Greek salad side. Although the service was great and the food was tasty, I found there to be the excess use of sodium. I ended up being thirsty for the entire night. With that being said, I'll give them another chance, since this place was known as a hidden gem in the past.

A one-hour break landed us in Loui's Kouzina, a Greek restaurant not too far of a drive away. Largely for takeaway and catering, the interior of Loui's Kouzina was of a blue and white theme, with countless beautiful photos Greece. The lighting inside the restaurant felt as though we were were peeping out of windows with beautiful sights staring right at is. Happily seated for five, it was a pretty easy order. The one server was very polite and gave us a few laughs. We grabbed a few appetizers to share and a main for each. No wifi here, but the Pizza Pizza next door held up a pretty good connection.

Two baskets of complimentary Garlic Bread came right up. The bread was delicious and had the perfect amount of garlic spread inside. Once he came back around the second time, he gave us another basket which all three of us so happily nibbled on. It wasn't such a good idea though, we really should have saved our stomach's for the amount of food to come...

1. The Trio
Three in-house made dips of Loui's traditional family recipes and served with grilled pita: -
Taramosalata: A delicious blend of red fish roe, extra virgin olive oil, garlic and lemon juice.-
Tzatziki: Thick and creamy pressed yogurt blended with fresh cucumber and the right amount of garlic.- Hummus: Pureed chickpeas flavored with garlic, extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice and tahini.
We just could not choose between the three dips, The Trio was the life saver. Ordering either of the dips individually would have served the same 'dollop' of dip, so it was really more of a buy two, get one free deal. The Taramosalata was me first for me, but it was my favourite ! It was amazing, I couldn't compete the Tzatziki or Hummus for second place. They were both just as great as each other. The bread was also P E R F E C T. So soft and the perfect chew. I couldn't ask for anything more, each bite was beating the next. This plate is a MUST order, a hundred percent.

2. Greek Fries
French Fries drizzled in extra virgin olive oil and lemon juice topped with feta cheese and oregano. Our excitement for these Greek Fries stemmed from the expectations of smalls discs with ridged surfaces sprinkled in big chunks of Feta (especially!). The Greek Frites were nothing special here. Even after drenching it in ketchup, I felt no excitement.

3. Fried Kalamari
Lightly tossed in seasoned flour and fried served with a wedge of lemon and tzatziki dip.Light on the batter and seasoning, the Fried Kalamari was a a great few bites before our mains. We hardly needed the tzatziki, it tasted great as is, with just a tiny squidge of lemon. Loui knows how it is.

4. Pork Souvlaki Sandwich
Served on a Pita with Tzatziki spread and tomatoesThe Pork Souvlaki was on the drier side and pretty disappointing compared to the party in my mouth launched by The Trio plate (most notably, the Taramosalata) in the first half. The pita was much harder in this one, too.

5. Greek Salad (side)

6. Small Village SaladComparation of the two sizes, my mate received a large helping for a small!

7. "Small" Plates
Chicken Souvlaki, Pork Souvlaki or Gyros served with Greek salad, Tzatziki and your choice of any one item: Fried, Rice or Roasted Potatoes. My memory is faint on this one. The portions were absolutely massive for a 'small' size. I cannot imagine the Large! The Roasted Potatoes didn't spike any interest of me, and the rice wasn't as fattening and flavourful as I'd ideally like it to be.

Overall, what slapped a big smile on all of our faces leaving the place, were the flavours of the delicious authentic house-made dips still lingering among our tastebuds. Definitely a taste to come back to, over and over again. My only wish is that this place was closer!
