The coffee shop is close to the hectic Walmart superstore which makes it an attractive spot to shy away from the crazy lineups for a coffee and food break. Plus, Aroma Espresso Bar was one of the few places to eat on the west side of the mall. Great planning Aroma!
Located in the Markville Mall, their crossiant is full of butter flavour. Matcha Latte art is not bad ????. Service is good too. I ordered the signature Aroma coffee, my favourite. They remind me to stir. ????.
They are the first one to take the pic of my food! Not myself!! LOL Don't think they took a better pic than me, agree? ????
LOCATION: I love the location of the Aroma Espresso Bar in Markville since there are few eateries on the West side of the mall aside from Pickle Barrel and I am often too lazy to walk to the food court located on the opposite end of the mall. Plus, being close to the busy Walmart is totally awesome; I can find a quiet place to eat and have some coffee. COFFEE REVIEW: After several visits, I can say that I am a fan of Aroma Markville. Their coffee prices are comparable or a tad more than Starbucks but they have a great selection and make good coffee. I love their iced Americano, even in the winter... It also comes with a small Aroma chocolate. Another stand out about Aroma is that they are a coffee shop that ALSO serves good food with a variety of sandwiches with fresh baked bread, all-day breakfast and baked goods. My FAVOURITE FOOD ITEM so far is their steak sandwich. Aroma's got it spot on with slices of well seasoned beef, onions and red peppers. Even though the bread (I normally get multigrain) is not toasted, it holds the sandwich well. The sandwiches are normally sold as a half sandwich, but the whole sandwich is about $11 (before tax). It is worth it for a good quality sandwich. FOR BREAKFAST, I would recommend the Middle Eastern dish Shakshuka if you wanted something other than your typical eggs and toast, or sandwiches. The dish consists of 2 sunny-side up eggs on top of a rich tomato and pepper sauce served with tahini and fresh baked bread. The tomato sauce was a bit sweet for my taste buds, but very filling for less than $10.There's no doubt that I will be back with my family. If you have a baby, they have high chairs hidden in the back that can be requested. I don't recall a change table in the bathroom, so that would be my suggestion for them.
