I visited Black Walnut Bakery Cafe during my trip to London. It's a charming little coffee shop with lovely decor and very friendly staff. However, I found the coffee to be of slightly lower quality compared to Starbucks, so I would rate it a 3. The pie was on the sweeter side, which wasn't to my taste preference.
I visited Black Walnut Cafe on a Saturday and had a mixed experience. The croissant I ordered was disappointing as it was not flaky and arrived cold. I would have enjoyed it more if it was served warm. On the bright side, the hot chocolate was delightful and the quiche was tasty as well. However, I hope they can improve by serving all their baked breads warm, as it would elevate the overall dining experience.
Large selection of food and coffee. The coffee is organic too and they have a spacious seating area but lots of bees. The staff is very nice. One of the best coffee shops in the area
We were driving through London and came across this classic cafe for breakfast. It was amazing - their food had a lot of variety, everything was fresh, smelled good, great quality. We tried the egg-bacon scone, sausage rolls, latte and house roast coffees. Left feeling completely satisfied.
In terms of food we ordered Iced Latte, Hot Cappuccino, Egg & Bacon Scone, Chocolate Almond Cruffin and, a Chelsea Bun (not pictured). What an absolute treat, everything was great. No complaints.
In terms of service, we were helped by a gentleman whose name escapes me but, wow he was so friendly and willing to answer any questions we had. Additionally, this is the first place I can recall in years where tip percentages are reasonable at 5,10, or 15 percent.
In terms of atmosphere, the inside and outside patio are very clean and well maintained, beautiful flowers, a great mix of sun or shade, etc. very warm and welcoming.
5/5 across the board, love Black Walnut, come here if you’re in London!

Lots of spots to sit and chat at, and you can tell they have lots of regular customers!

Nothing is as memorable as having a cup of coffee in the soft sunlight. This Black Walnut Bakery Cafe in the northern downtown is such a chilled-out place with a great atmosphere. The staff here always smiles, which allowed me to feel very comfortable. Their pay increase is absolutely needed.
Absolutely charming cafe. The food is amazing (try the old fashioned donut muffin!) and the drinks are well made. Pricier than some chain coffee places, on par with more premium chain places but much better food. Staff is always delightful.
Got here only Cappuccino. Sorry but I'm not a big fan. It's a little better than Starbucks, but not as good as in the roastery coffee places. However the atmosphere is very pleasant, service is great and kind, pastries looked tempting.
Ordered a custom espresso drink that wasn't on the menu and the staff member handled it flawlessly.
The resulting beverage (pictured) was well crafted and delicious.
The scone and muffin taken on a long walk home were still in excellent condition upon arrival, despite mangling them with my hands.
