We haven't been back to Yamas in 3 years but it was just as we remembered it, incredible food and amazing service.
Our server knew there was another large party being served. So when she saw my 1.5yr old toddler she offered to bring out rice for her right away so she could have something to eat while we waited. Thoughtful!
While the food took longer than usual, we didn't notice at all because the server came frequently to refill our water and pop. When it finally came it was hot and delicious. I missed those lemon potatoes!
When we left, the server gave us a box of Ekmek to enjoy as dessert. What a pleasant surprise and amazing experience. We were so full from the large portions from dinner that we had to eat it the next day.

It was our first time at Yamas after walking by for many years - and we loved it! Delicious food, great service and a nice atmosphere. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for great Greek.
First time visiting here and our family had an amazing experience. Staff were friendly and super nice. Most importantly the food was amazing. I’ve been to many Greek restaurants and this one is definitely one of the better quality restaurants I’ve been to. The roast lamb was just perfect as it just melted in your mouth. The calamari dinner and kids souvlaki was just as great.
We were there for my toddler’s birthday and they also gave us a complimentary dessert to top things off. Great experience overall and we’ll definitely come back again.
This is a snack after dinner, because we were still hungry, that’s why we only order 1 entree to share.
Service was good, it just we sat beside a big group of teenagers, do it was too loud for our taste.
The moussaka was good, one of the better ones we had, lots of flavour, portion size was ok.

Just had dinner at YAMAS tonight. I'll just say that this place NEVER disappoints!!! The food was amazing, belly dancer was lovely and the service was top shelf. Our server Liam went above and treated our kids so well tonight! Thanks for all the good food and service over the years! If you love good food, go to Yamas!!
We went Sunday 10th December for a Christmas breakup dinner.
There was around 24 of us there and everyone enjoyed their meals & experience. While we only had one server, she was friendly and stayed on top of things which can be hard with so many people. Nat did an amazing job of taking orders, memorizing who ordered what food & drinks, and had food out promptly for such a large group. Everyone remarked on what a wonderful job she did under the circumstances of so many people.
Yamas is a great place to eat be it for two people or 25.
We will be back again.
I would recommend if feeling like Greek in Kelowna. I enjoyed the mousaka dish and the vibe and service were good. The keftedes/meatballs were slightly dry which did take away a bit from what was overall a pretty good meal.
There's a reason this place has been around for decades. I've recently started going here again and the food is consistent, delicious, and plentiful. The servers are all really friendly and not overbearing. The prices are very reasonable as well, especially considering the plate you get.
10/10, will be returning. Likely in the next month!
First time coming here and it was amazing! The place was slammed busy but everyone was working so hard and the food was to die for! Even the bartender was out helping taking care of tables and walk-ins. The waitress was so kind, efficient and apologetic about the wait. We will definitely be back as it was the best meal we had in awhile! Every bit was delicious.
Awesome food and customer service. Belly dancing 💃 is more Turkish (Muslim) than Greek (Christian) but if you are not native to the Balkans you would not know. Highly recommend this taverna.
