it took sometime to get our meal, I waited about 15-20 minutes. Overall the taste and quantity is good though. The rice is very flavorful and when paired with the chicken and sauce, it really hits the spot.
I believe it counts as one of the best shawarma places in Ontario. The portions are big and you feel so full you can't even move after your meal. We tried their Shawarma Poutine and Gyro Salad. They both tasted great and with great portions.
Their specialty is their Shawarma Pizza which tastes amazing and it is worth the drive.
Today I was craving shawarma but wanted to make sure it was low carb. I searched for placed around the area that served shawarma salad and found this place. I was THOROUGHLY surprised at how delicious and filling my salad was. The portions were beyond what I expected. My friend for the shawarma poutine and loved it so much. She really loved the garlic sauce that went with it
I was very happy about the service. Everyone was so friendly and as we sat in to eat out meal, we couldn't help but be so surprised that the people who worked there were on a first name basis with the majority of their customers. It really shows how much they value their customers.
I look forward to going back and bringing others to this place. This was a rare gem that I recommend everyone try. I'm a very happy first time customer and will definitely be a repeating customer in the near future
I’ve eaten at a lot of Shawarma places and this one definitely takes the cake. In terms of the Shawarma pizza, few places these days are properly applying the white/hot sauce. Rather than slab it on they perfectly circle it to the centre, a dying art. Generous portion of chicken. Thin/dense crust with a nice bite to it. Onions are not raw, properly using yellow onions as opposed to raw red onions. Also, they don’t skimp on the chicken when it comes to their chicken rice combo. You’ll be hard pressed to find a better shawarma place in Hamilton that takes this much pride in their food. City Shawarma has earned a long time customer today.
I have only ever tried shawarma fries once before and recall enjoying them; when I drove by this place I figured I would give it a try. I am so thrilled that I did! The staff were quite welcoming and eager to help. Pictured here is the chicken shawarma poutine with curried onions and black olives. I ordered a large to be shared and it was way more than enough! I must say that the quality is very good and also at an affordable price! I highly recommend trying it out, I know I will definitely return when the poutine cravings kick in! Impeccable job CSG!
Bunch of ppl I work with swear by this place so I finally checked it out and they were so right! Food was amazing. Portion size is great and they have a great garlic sauce. The guy running it is very personable as well. Definitely will be back.
City shawarma should be called "best in the city shawarma" .. the most delicious seasoned chicken i ever had anywhere. I eat here every week as I work close by. Now all my friends and Thomas Jr loves it too! Thanks guys for top quality and service every single time! 👌👏🤤
I ordered the chicken shwarma with fattoush salad combo. I absolutely love the homemade sauces in these items! It packs a savory punch in your mouth that I really enjoyed. I also really like the individual that made our meal. He was very friendly! I can see why people travel from Toronto and Niagara to eat here.
