I went here with a small dining group after seeing Sleeping Giant at Westdale (Excellent film btw)
Atmosphere- Behind a huge wooden door looking like it should be at the entrance of a medeival castle is a disappointing entrance Walk down the hall to the dining area.. Bright , clean with retro foodie posters on the wall. Not at all medeival but nice.
Food- Started off with calamari- It was nicely breaded with a nice aoli sauce. I liked it but with calamari I tend to like it a bit more crispy. ( That is my own fault for not asking for it ) Mains in group incliuded- 1) Eggplant parm. It was exquisite . Layers of eggplant, cheese and sauce. Melt in your mouth flavour. 2) Calzone- A lot more filling than bread which is the preferred way for most of us. ( compared to the other places in Westdale thay serve them ( Express and Valentinos) This one is by far the best choice. 3) Pizza - This was a disappointment. Not enough sauce and not enough cheese. When asked for extra sauce (no charge) for dipping helped but if I would order again I would ask for extra cheese and extra sauce. 4) Breaded chicken- A bit dry
Need a bowl.of sauce as well. The potatoes and vegetables with it were very tasty. 5) Minestrone soup- Filled with a ton of Vegatbles. My dining mate took half of it home it was so filling. It was odd that no bread came to the table to eat with the meal. It would have been a good compliment to the mains.
Service- We had 2 waitresses in combination serving us. Both were pleasant and we did not wait for our food.
Impression- I will go back but there are so many other good Italian places in the city to eat at so it will be a while.
Excellent! Fantastic authentic Italian food. Great selection, reasonably priced.
Service was great. Going back and bringing friends.
I would recommend making a reservation if going on a Friday or Saturday.
Yum :). Maccheroni's food was absolutely delicious and fairly priced. I got a Calamari appetizer and the Stromboli which were both reasonable sized portions and very tasty. The server was very knowledgeable and did a great job with my table despite us being a large group. Would definitely go back and recommend this to others!
Good place. The pizza is great - cooked in a hearth - great toppings. Italian salad very good - lots of meats and cheese. Pastas are good too.
We've made many trips and have never been disappointed.
My favorite restaurant. The staff are wonderful
Excellent Stromboli and calzone. Large portion, fresh ingredients, prompt service, good prices. Only $10each.
Rice Pasta & Gluten Free Pizza. I have eaten at this restaurant numerous times and totally enjoyed the food. It is great that they offer rice pasta and gluten free pizza - it''s hard to find good restaurants that offer great food that is gluten free.
Amazing service! Our server was the sweetest and had a super nice and welcoming personality. She was very friendly! The food was really good and so were the drinks. This spot is definitely a hidden gem in Hamilton and would recommend anyone to give it a try! The gnocchi was fresh and the pizza dough was very well made.. 10/10
My whole family loves this wonderful restaurant. We've been going there for various occasions for dinners for over 20 years. Lunches are just as great! We're so glad that they didn't close up due to the pandemic, like so so many places did.
Had a lovely dinner at Maccheroni. Service was personable but a little slow. Not a problem, they are short staffed and rehiring after covid shutdowns. Service should improve shortly. The salad portions were very large, as were the mains. All patrons liked their meals. The lasagna was very filling albiet a little bland. Could do for more seasoning across the board. Will be back in the summer as the patio opens.

I was able to order a delicious vegan meal. I ordered the Mediterranean pasta and held the cheese. My husband enjoyed his seafood pasta. Service by Margarita was outstanding. She made me a beautiful negroni cocktail and even waiting while I checked the internet for the exact recipe. A nice touch to have the owner check on us and all the tables to see if we were enjoying our meals. The ambiance in the restaurant is lovely too. We will definitely be back again and highly recommend.

We gathered here as a group of 20 and by the looks of it I really think that this small restaurant can't comfortably accommodate any more. The tables are not spaced far enough apart to allow for access to your seat without disturbing others seated at adjacent tables. The service was friendly, but slow. Only one waitress that I saw. But the food was excellent. Home made Italian dining. Made from scratch. Funny though, for a place called Macaronis, you would think that atleast one item on the menu would be a macaroni dish... Mac and cheese or something... Earily missing... Lol... Nice bar, basic liquors. Great decor.
Nice place close to the Webster falls! I always come here after a quick visit and sight seeing at the falls! I really love their food selection! So far everything I ordered has tasted really good! Service is top notch! Must try ;)
I love coming here in the summer after visiting Webster’s falls. I’m in love with the seafood fettuccine and I am never disappointed with the taste of the food here. The ambience is also quite nice and they have a very pretty little patio in the back for those warm summer nights!
