This restaurant has fantastic foods and servers are very politely. Pork and sweet corn pan fried dumplings is my favorite one. Chicken Wonton soup also is a great choice especially if you like shrimp. Also recommend chicken and veg spring rolls and red bean pasta spring rolls. I will definitely be there again.
Great food and great service. This was our first visit be definitely not our last, pork noodles were awesome and chicken rice was amazing. Could have eaten dumplings all day long there that Amazing!!!

This restaurant is well located downtown Halifax, it's right across from Dalhousie (enginnering faculty). The parking is as such street parking.
The location itself is nice, cleanly decorated with good spacing between tables.
The menu is straightforward and easy. Simply 1 page back and forth.
We ordered the regular steamed beef and lamb dumpling with some egg rolls to start.
The eggs rolls were good crispy, but the filling was a bit unfamiliar to me but not bad.
The dumplings were simply excellent. They had a good amount of filling, the shape was also visually nice. There was a complete set of condiments, soy sauce, black vinegar, chilli oil, salt and pepper.
Service was excellent. Quick, courteous. Not sure if its a winter thing but hot water was served too, nice touch.
Prices were very fair, the steam dumpling order was many and with eggs rolls it made a great lunch.
I look forward to trying many more dumplings!

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars but the food was ok.
Visiting Halifax from Toronto, I guess I’m putting this place up against a lot of other more established dumpling places but for what seems to be one of only a few dumpling places in town, it’s decent.
Dumplings seemed small though, and could barely taste the shrimp (pork and shrimp version). Could have ordered the pork dumplings and not have told the difference.
The chicken leg/rice combo was good - never had this dish before and the pickled potatoes or whatever it was was a nice complement. Sauce could have been more flavorful.
Had an excellent time! Server was polite and I can't rave enough about the food. I had the braised pork and egg noodles and the pork was perfectly tender. The broth it came in was very flavorful.
I don't know if it is useful quiet in the late afternoon but when we came there was only one other table of people, so it was a quiet, peaceful atmosphere.
Would definitely recommend checking this place out!
It is a treat to find a restaurant with the authentic Chinese northern home food flavours. Great price for tasty and plentiful food. A gem in the heart of down town Halifax, if you want a hearty noodle soup.
Must try when visiting Halifax! Family run restaurant that reminds us of quality dumplings like in South East Asia. Service is always great. They even sell them to take home and prepare yourself.
Food and service was great. A few fruit flies did keep us company which was a little annoying.
Wonderful food and great service. Everything was well prepared and fresh. So tasty too. Try the potato salad, it's to die for. I can't wait to go back!
Tried there with family during lunch hours. The entrance was a downsloping ramp that wheel chairs or strollers could access. The inside was well maintained and gave clean vibe. The dumplings gave a freshly made impression and was well steamed. Chicken fried rice also was nicely spiced and was not salty. Overall, would visit again.
This place was quite good! Different than what i expected, it was a lot more traditional than the dumplings I've had from other places. I had a combo with rice, spring rolls, and chicken balls and my boyfriend had pan fried shrimp and pork dumplings. My mom had pork dumplings with soup which I tried as well. It was all very good except the soup was a bit spicy for me. I definitely want to go again and try some other dishes. The dumplings were different than I expected but still good. The rice was my favourite. Servers were kind and prices were pretty good
Walked in with my partner, had the best steamed dumplings I've ever had, for a fair price. It's VERY hard to beat.
Plus the spicy sauce is really good.
