Julep Kitchen & Cocktails

Came back to Julep after having a disappointing experience for brunch about a week ago. I'm glad we did as the food and service this time around were very good. My partner and I started off with the cauliflower tacos, which were *excellent*; the cauliflower was still firm but not too hard, and the combination of tahini dressing and slaw added a welcome sweetness and acidity to the dish. We also had oysters, which came with a spray bottle of bourbon - very cool and went well with the other condiments. My partner then had the four cheese gnocchi, which was pretty good, but not amazing; while the gnocchi was cooked very well (and the breadcrumbs added a nice crunch to the texture), there was a little too much sauce, which can be overwhelming given its creaminess. I had the pork belly, which was also quite good. Again, there was slightly too much sauce - I think it would have been even better if the sauce was served to the side so that the greens and pork belly could stand on there own a little more. Finally, we finished off strong with the lemon and blueberry cheesecake. Great texture and we appreciated the lightness of the lemon as it can often be overdone. Staff were fantastic and attentive, and the view from the patio is beautiful. Will be coming back again to try more of the appetizers as they all seemed delicious - especially the tuna tartare cannolis. Thank you for a nice evening!

Some of the best mussels I've had, hands down. We came here pretty late for a small bite to eat and saw mussels were on the menu. We ordered the mussels and fries and they were so so delicious. Really good portion size, even shared between two people. Everything was delicious. I would definitely come here again and order the same thing but next time mussels x2. Highly recommend!

If you're looking for amazing food and cocktails, great location and service then you need to go to Julep. Their menu is constantly adapting and changing, with every variation being as amazing as the last! During my recent visit I had Coconut Pana Cotta, Four Cheese Gnocchi au Gratin, Beef Tartare and the Kiss the Sky Cocktail.

Delicious cocktails, super friendly service, yummmmmy food. Got the fried chicken sandwich and garlic shrimp po’boy, both fantastic. Yummy fries too. Worth the hype I’ve seen on TikTok for sure!

Awesome atmosphere, great food Our hotel gave us a few recommendations and this place had fresh chuck burgers, buttermilk fried chicken AND oysters - we were in. Yes, the bar is very serious about their drinks but don’t overlook the food here. They really are precise and well portioned. The burger chuck was outstanding, flavour and perfectly cooked with a smart choice of bread (and a lot of fries, value). Buttermilk chicken was a smaller portion but outstandingly we’ll prepared and may I say, the coleslaw! Usually sloppily prepared and just an afterthought but their coleslaw was a cut above the picnic garbage most places serve. Lastly, the Oysters were expertly shucked (most places spill half the juice out!), these were really great. Big airy place, love the atmosphere.
