That was the first time there and I must admit that the service was awesome and the food was great and yes I would recommend it to anyone.
First time at this restaurant, got lunch specials for takeout. Restaurant itself clean and modern, server very friendly and efficient. Food was clearly cooked upon ordering, could hear the chopping and sizzling from the kitchen! Curried chicken excellent,very fresh crunchy vegetables and good sized pieces of chicken. General Tao Tofu was also great. Nice to have a different vegetarian option. Spring rolls large and fresh, even the steamed rice was great as is. Fresh flavorful food at a great price. We'll be back to try more!

Lovely new establishment with very warm and welcoming staff serving delicious food. Have enjoyed a meal with them twice now since they've opened and have enjoyed both meals completely. Food, especially the rice, is light (not soaked in grease) which is a pleasant change from others in the area. Also, Awesome lunch specials!

The $10.50 lunch combo menu is good value for your money. Their egg rolls filling is made with bean paste which I like because too many places now use bean sprouts and call it a day. I recommend the General Tao Spicy Chicken. It was definitely more memorable than the other lunch special options. Sometimes they give out mail coupons for minimum order discounts.
We ate in the store yesterday and ordered again from Uber eat today. Best Chinese restaurant I ever had ! My kids all like fried rice and fried rice noodles. And the waitress is so sweet! Thank you!
After going to a lot of trendy, overpriced restaurants recently, I am glad I went for classic Chinese-Canadian food. Affordable, great friendly service, big portions for the price. The vegetables are fresh and crisp and the general tao chicken was crispy and flavourful!
Overall impression was that we were served traditional dishes using fresh ingredients (vegetables and proteins), the delicious recipes were all extremely well prepared and perfectly seasoned, and all our senses were more than satisfied. Our compliments and thanks to the kitchen! The atmosphere was pleasant and the entire restaurant was very clean. Lina, our server, was friendly and attentive. Our bill was quite reasonable considering we have enough for a full, leftover dinner tonight. The Golden Fortune Restaurant offers excellent quality and value and we will gladly make the hourโs drive to return again soon.
Ordered take out from golden fortune on Uber. My food arrived very quickly and still very hot and fresh. Driver put the food on the front deck as requested but if it wasn't for Uber app popping up to ask how was his service I wouldn't have known he had been there because he did not knock.
Probably the best โChineseโ food I have ever had. It was fresh, tasty, and excellent portions for the price you pay. Their wonton soup is phenomenal.

This is hands down the finest Chinese restaurant I've experienced! All my kids adore the fried rice and fried rice noodles. Plus, the waitress is incredibly delightful!

The food is really good, tastes fresh always.. have a few vegetarian options on the menu, large portions, value for money paid, recommend it, I have been here several times and each time I have had a good experience. The staff is friendly, and the place is clean.

Was a bit skeptical trying this restaurant as so many other cantonese/Vietnamese restaurants have let me down. The General Tao chicken is good, not spicy tho but still flavorful. The vegetable fried rice wanted a little more soy sauce for my palate but it was good for everyone else. The crab cheese wontons were delicious, a little softer than expected but that did not compromise the flavor. Ive heard that the beef lo mein is really excellent. Will definitely try thier food again.
Also, decent portions and decent price (with inflation considered). Very fast service, I didn't have to wait long and that was impressive!

Recently moved back to NS. Sister invited to try this. It was awesome! From the salt and pepper squid (melt in your mouth) the honey garlic ribs, to the crispy ginger beef. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. I will be back, even with the hour drive! Thank you so much ladies!
