OMG this is the best cupcake shop I have ever been too, not only were the cupcakes delicious and made me drool a little but the staff were so helpful in helping me pick out the best flavour ever!!
I had my first Layers cupcake which was red velvet and I couldn’t eat it fast enough.. very good quality! I highly recommend them!
I’ve only ever ordered cakes from Layers, but they are delicious. The cake is rich and sweet, topped with beautiful buttercream frosting that will satisfy any sweet tooth in a matter of seconds. My only criticisms would be the rigidity of the cake designs, not permitting you to add customized writing for a loved one’s birthday, and the richness of the buttercream icing that can be slightly overwhelming if consumed in large slices of cake.
We stopped by to pick up some cupcakes for dessert later in the day and we were not disappointed! There was a large selection to choose from, with a variety of creative flavours. We sampled the chocolate salted caramel and chocolate coconut which were amazing. I wish it didn't end, ever.
The lady was very patient while I contemplated my choice.
Priced at $5 each, coming to $11.50 for two, they are certainly a treat but well worth it. Highly recommend!
Tried this place while visiting Halifax. The cupcakes are excellent, with the most delicious icing! They have some interesting flavours, which keeps things fun. Also, the cookies are some of the best I've ever had. Highly recommend.
We happened to be walking by last evening and they were giving away the remainder of the day’s cupcakes. My husband and I both had a chocolate cupcake with marshmallow filling and chocolate icing, topped with a rice krispie square. They were amazing! I’m not normally a fan of chocolate cake, but there were moist and flavorful, and the filling and icing were rich but not overly sweet. We will definitely be back!!

I live too close for comfort. I pop in here frequently for that sweet tooth craving. The air smells of sweetness to match the staffs attitudes. This place is fabulous. I recommend any cupcake lover to just eat one. My favorite are any vanilla base cupcake the offer. The vanilla bean frosting with the sea salted caramel fill is my go to. Must try.

I bought a dozen assorted cupcakes for a work party and these things were fantastic. Really nice variety and they taste great. These are NOT your Costco or Superstore priced cupcakes, don't expect a dozen for 10 bucks. This is a higher end bakery that produced some quality bites for your sweet tooth. The staff were very helpful and pleasant as well.
Best cupcakes I've ever had. Will definitely be making a stop next time I'm in Halifax.
