Review Your Father's Moustache - Halifax

Decided to stop in to grab some supper during a day out on a nice hot day. Our server was absolutely fantastic, Food was amazing and the atmosphere was great. Only reason I gave a 4 on atmosphere is we were on the rooftop patio and found that there wasn't enough umbrellas and the sun was directly in my face the entire time. But that is a very minor thing and really didn't take away much from a fantastic experience

Visiting Halifax from Montreal for the weekend, but i grew up in Nova Scotia and have been here years ago! I knew it had a cool rooftop patio, and suggested to my friends who were with me that were visiting from Toronto that we go here on a sunny Saturday. The food exceeded my expectations & we loved what we ate. I had the Moustache burger and it was fantastic. Our favorite part though we’re the potachos. highly recommend!

Great food and good service. Our server was very attentive. Steak was cooked to preference. Little pricy but better quality than other places.

The location is amazing in the heart ❤️ of spring Garden road. Parking is an issue as parking. spots are limited. Layout and decorations, the place is spacious, can fit large groups. Lots of seats and tables. The place is cozy and has some seats close to the window, which is excellent. The restaurant is on the second floor, and I did not notice that there is an elevator. Cleanliness within expectations Time to be seated, my experience on Saturday was ok. We did not have to wait. Service, the service is excellent 👌 👏 👍, employees are well knowledgeable of the ingredients. Professional dealing with customers. 😊 😃 Time to get the order was within expectations Food, rich 😋 delicious 😋 😍 and well done. Prices are $$ reasonable and affordable 👌 👍 😀 Conclusion: it is a nice place to have dinner, I will visit them again

Great rooftop patio. Pretty dissapointed in the lobster Benedict, regular non- English muffin bun, and really non-delicious hollandaise sauce (lobster part was delicious of course)

We always visit Your Father's Moustache when we visit Halifax. Good food, interesting decor and friendly service!

One of the best burgers I've had in a while. Nice to go to a place that will actually cook their burgers medium instead of well done.

Loved this place. It was recommended to us by staff of a store we popped into and it was well worth it. In the door you walk up a flight of stairs and the restaurant is there. We chose a booth by the window and had a nice view of the street and public garden entrance. The waiter was really nice and funny. I had the blackened haddock taco with fries and it was amazing. Would love to return here to try more menu items.

Food was alright. Service was decent and not too remarkable. The seafood chowder was pretty good.

I visited for the first time today and it was nice because the wings weren't too salty.

Went for a Sunday brunch today and left after one hour and 20 minutes with no sign of our eggs benny. The server had no tableside manner, never cleaned off our table until we had been sitting there for 25 minutes, we waited 30 minutes for our drinks and she never returned to ask if we wanted another and then gave me attitude when I asked for the drinks bill as we had waited more than enough time. Will never return there food and will never recommend it to anyone either!

Nice patio and friendly service, however we were told it may be up to 30 minutes for food which was long but okay considering they were busy. We ordered and decided to go with a Chicken Pub Club sandwich w/fries and a Salad (shouldn't take too long). Considering it was only a sandwich and Salad, 30 minutes is pushing it, but after around 1 hour we had still not received our food. Finally after around 60 minutes our mediocre sandwich and salad arrived. The only problem was that there was no chicken in my sandwich. Feel bad for the servers cause clearly the kitchen can't get it together. Won't be back unless it's for a beer, at lest they were cold.

So me and the little one (4 years old) popped in for a quick bite and a drink waiting for the Pride Parade to kick off yesterday and I have to say everything was awesome. Our waitress was very friendly and engaged well with my daughter (still didn't get a word out of her though, so shy with people!) and checked in on us regularly after we'd placed our order. I ordered the combo (chicken strips, mozza sticks, potato skins and bacon), which was delicious, and the little one had a small order of blueberry pancakes. They must have been good too because she ate half of them (which is an achievement for her). The high point of the visit was definitely just before we left though, the little one decided she needed to use the little girl's room, so I sent her on in and told her to just give me a shout when she was done. She was in there a while, but then I heard the hand drier going and she came back out with a female member of staff who had helped her wash her hands and dry them off. I was over the moon she got some help in there, above and beyond the call of duty right there, super impressed! I've always liked this place, but I have to say I like it even more now! Prices are very reasonable for a downtown eatery / drinkery too!

I had lunch today with my daughter and a friend and his toddler son. Our server was Rachael. She was very attentive to the needs of our table (a young child and myself with many anaphylactic allergies). She took the time to checknover menu option to ensure the safest meal for me and also communicated with the chef as well. Definitely will be back!

The food was delicious. The waitress was salty. Celebrating my engagement with some friends and the waitress slides my tip back to me. I tell her to keep the change and she flips on her rude attitude she was holding off on until tip time to tell me to keep it. Thanks for embarrassing me in front of my friends and spoiling my night. Kudos to the chef, the veggie burger was incredible, but the waitress could use some training.

Amazing! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, awesome music, a good crowd of people, and delicious food.

Went there last night for wing night but we decided to order meals. It was around 5 oclock, our order was taken right away! We got our food super quick I even said to our waitress that was like less then 15 minutes for a customized Buffalo chicken sandwich with fries and a Pub Club customized wih fries. And wings to go! Was awesome service, drinks were served instantly, waitress was super friendly! Great experience! The stache is my fave downtown :)

It's been a while since I've been back and nothings changed in the best way. Jenna was our favourite waitress we've ever had. Love that woman!

My husband and I were there last night for a late supper. Our bill was printed at 10:56 pm. He had the jambalaya and I ordered the sandwich and soup of the day. His meal was fine. Mine was the worst ever. My BLT was lacking BLT. It was on burnt toast , shredded lettuce not whole and 2 small pieces of bacon. The tomato was cut so paper thin it was insulting to a BLT. the music was so loud I couldn’t hear ourselves talk or hear the server completely. The soup I thought was garden veggie which is fine. But I was failed to be informed that it was BBQ sweet. We waited over 30 min for our food. I could not eat the soup as I am a diabetic. Our server Emily offered to replace the soup with something else but after our long wait, I said no. I was VERY disappointed to see my cost for such a lacking sandwich of $8.95 especially when the soup/sandwich deal was $9.99. If it were not for the already long wait , I would have requested maybe a different side. But the thought of waiting again was not an option. We live around the corner so your eatery is a local to go. I was very disappointed on a home and felt my sandwich should have been at least half price. Thank you

Had the pub club,, always a sure fire hit...my good friend had an alergy to shell fish; our waitress Rachael was very accommodating and patient...took the time to confer with the kitchen and had a great meal....way to go!! will be back
