Very friendly spaces, good food, variety of drinks, comfortable terrace out back and a view across the river to Parliament Hill. Free parking, centrally located.

Wow what an experience! The food is make by a very talented chef. Everything I had was simply wonderfull from start to finish. I ate the best sugar pie I've never had there. The staff is super friendly and the service is excellent! It cost more than your typical meal but the food there as nothing of typical. Everything in my plate was there for an reason and when it came together, it felt like an big and wonderful maelstrom of flavors. Believe me, when you get out of there feeling like a big balloon but your are still amazed at what you've ate, you'll be shure that it was worth every penny. That was my first time, and me and my wife ate one of the meal of our lives. We are certainly going back there!

I went here for dinner with 9 other people and we had a terrific experience. The atmosphere and service were impeccable. No one in my party spoke French and the menu was new, so it hadn't been translated into English yet, so the chef came to our table and translated the menu item by item for us. We each ordered some different dishes and shared; everything was perfect right down to the creme brulee for dessert. I definitely will be back!

The food is sophisticated innovative and most importantly made with love. Cool and interesting events announced on Facebook. The cocktails are actually made with quality ingredients. This bistro is a must on your list and it will soon become "Your place".

This restaurant is the best kept secret in Gatineau/Ottawa region. The food is seasonal and comforting. The garnishes always complement the main element of the dish perfectly. The last dish I had there was the salmon. I don't typically order salmon at restaurants because it is often dry and boring. Not at L'Alambic though... This is one of the best meals I have ever had! I was amazed how well all the flavours came together. The tender salmon with salty crispy skin, soft polenta and amazing sauces (I can't remember the ingredients). They also make my new favorite cocktail - the Banjo Slammer. A froathy and spicy drink, for those who don't like sweet cocktails like me. Lastly, the service is always great. Well done L'Alambic! I highly recommend this quaint restaurant with the big flavours!

I wasn't sure at first when we arrived, there was only one waitress and there wasn't a lot of choice on the menu, but I was agreeably surprise! We didn't wait to long and if you ask the waitress there is more than the menu offer. The food and the drink were excellent.

Do not have a large selection of meal. But really good service and food. The place is nice; arts, old style fashion and good local alcool products.

Found this place after 4 other bistros were full, and I'm glad we stumbled upon this gem. Food was fantastic, and it gave off very homey vibes. Overall fantastic!

Food is good and staff friendly but the place is not super busy... As in almost empty most of the time.

The service from arrival to departure was equal to none. The meal was tremendous will definitely recommend.

I have already tried to delicious Tapas-style apps and am waiting for the pork belly sandwich. So far, I have to say Top Notch. The chef really knows how to combine ingredients to deliver an amazing taste experience!! I will definitely come back to try more of the menu. I would recommend this place if you consider yourself a true foodie!!

Une première pour nous ce soir au Bistro l'Alambic, nous avions un souper pour le 40ième d'un ami. Le tout était excellent, de l'entrée d'escargots, au plat de veau et que dire du dessert de tarte au sucre! Bravo au staff qui ont bravé la chaleur et nous a fourni un service rapide, attentionné et impécable. Vraiment, un gros bravo... une vrai perle ce petit resto!

Ce restaurant est vraiment un petit trésor à découvrir, l'ambiance est chaleureuse et intime, le service excellent et la nourriture est tout simplement délicieuse. Il faut absolument essayer les arancinis aux tomates fumées et les Fish & chips! J'ai eu la chance de jouer à l'Alambic avec mon groupe de musique Saphir Avenue et l'expérience a été unique, nous avons été très bien reçu. Merci d'encourager les artistes locaux :) !

Ça coche !!!!!! La bouffe est débilement bonne et pas dispendieuse, le co-proprio est juste awsome et l'athmosphère est super relaxe. Coup de ❤ !!!!! À refaire !!!!

Wow, quelle belle découverte. Excellent de l'entrée au dessert. C'était une première mais, certainement pas une dernière. Et le service, tout aussi excellent que les plats dégustés. Un seul B molle, j'avais envie de saumon mais, n'en ai pas vu sur le menu. Jusqu'à ce que je vois un plat de saumon passé près de ma table et lorsque j'ai demandé comment se fait-til que cette dame a du saumon, je n'en ai pas vu sur le menu!! On m'a dit que c'était le plat de risotto!!!! Oh boy, je ne l'aurais jamais deviné. Peut-être décrire au menu que le risotto est servi avec une belle portion de saumon!

Très belle découverte, bistro chaleureux, mon saumon était parfait et le dessert aussi.

Petite perle trop bien cachée! Service plus qu'impeccable, nourriture extraordinaire, prix très abordables! Bel endroit relax pour décompresser en bonne compagnie :) J'y vais maintenant régulièrement!

Expérience exceptionnelle. Proprio attentionné envers sa clientèle. Nous avons passé une soirée d'anniversaire moi et ma conjointe mémorable. La nourriture est parfaite. Je vous le recommande vraiment.

Chose this resto because it was close to work. Nice patio but service was painfully slow, even though the patio and resto were both nearly empty.<br/>Had the black bean tostada which came with a nice fresh salad. Portion was okay. Two mains and one lemonade - total $45 including tip. Pricey. Unlikely to return as there are other choices around.

This was our first time to this Bistro and we were totally amazed. The food was excellent, the staff went above and beyond and the atmosphere was friendly. We were there for a "diner and a show" (their first) with the band Firebelly. I have nothing but good things to say about this blues band. A great evening.

Chef Raphael and his team outdid themselves. They were able to take seasonal ingredients and transform them into a culinary experience. The menu is carefully curated and features some classics with a twist as well as innovative dishes prepared with cutting-edge techniques.<br/><br/> My budddy and I sampled several items including the Arancini, Pork Belly with blue potatoes, Orzotto with lamb shank, Duck tartare and our last course was the succulent sous vide steak with fingerlings and oyster mushrooms. All in all each dish was an experience for the taste buds with a delicious surprise in every bite. Each item on the plate served to elevate the flavors so that they worked harmoniously together. The duck tartare with taro crisps was especially unctuous and sat well on the palette. Overall, I highly recommend this hidden gem in Gatineau. It's one of those places I would love to keep to myself but I feel like everyone should be aware of this place for themselves so I will share my experience. Definitely a must visit restaurant in the Ottawa/Gatineau region.

BELLE TROUVAILLE!. Nouveau resto à découvrir! Foie gras poêlé, burger de sanglier, salade de betteraves et orzetto à l'agneau. Succulent! Mon épouse et moi avons grandement apprécié notre repas servi par le proprio David Gomes, un comptable âgé de 36 ans, père de 4 enfants qui a laissé son travail de comptable au gouvernement pour réaliser un rêve. Un rêve qu'il nous fait partager et nous procure une expérience inoubliable. Bravo aussi au chef Raphaël Secours et à son équipe!

Excellent. Souper jeudi soir dernier. Tout était excellent. De l'entrée au dessert. Beau choix de vins d'importation privée à des prix raisonnables. Ambiance décontractée et super service effectuée par le propriétaire David qui est super sympathique. Nous y retournons c'est certain.

Was staying at the Hilton Lac Leamy and Arome was booked. Came to this bistro with some friends for dinner on a Saturday night. Amazing food and atmosphere, but best of all was the service. Absolutely impeccable. Highly recommended and will definitely be back.

Toute une découverte!. Première expérience à L'Alambic ce soir. Que dire de plus sinon que tout y est excellent. La qualité des plats, bien entendu, mais aussi le service chaleureux et professionnel. Jamais je n'aurais cru que le bistro n'était ouvert que depuis un mois seulement. <br/><br/>Le tartare de canard, les gnocchi et la truite poêlée avaient chacun leur goût distinct et recherché. Les trois desserts (parfait à l'ananas, crème brûlée et fondant au chocolat) ont rassasiés les dents les plus sucrées. Bref, tout un succès. Si vous aimez Town, El Camino et Apt 613, vous allez aussi adorer L'Alambic.<br/><br/>Je suggère chaudement ce nouveau resto à tous les foodies de la région!

Excellent service, bonne ambiance et délicieux et savoureux repas!. Ma mère et moi avons mangé au Bistro L'Alambic pour la première fois hier soir. Nous avons été accueillies et servies par Clément notre serveur très enthousiaste et attentif. Le Bistro a une belle ambiance et de la bonne musique. J'avais entendu de bons commentaires sur la nourriture mais je fûs tout de même surprise de la qualité de notre repas. J'ai mangé la truite et la crème brûlée (au zeste d'orange) et mes papilles gustatives en fûrent épatées! C'était délicieux et j'ai déjà hâte d'y retourner pour essayer le tartare de canard et les autres savoureux plats. Bravo à David et son équipe!!

Superb Bistro. Dropped in on a Friday night to try this new addition to Hull. We were absolutely blown away by the Food and Service. I was so impressed by the originality and complexity of the dishes that I inquired who was the chef cooking these delicious plates. The chef is Raphael who was originally chef de cuisine at Town on Elgin street and also worked at Play and Zen Kitchen. From the duck tartare, Beets salad and our shared Pork dish...the quality, textures and complexity of of meals were superb.

À Découvrir!. Nouveau restaurant à Hull qui vaut vraiment la peine d'être découvert! Tous les plats que nous avons essayé étaient délicieux mais les gnocchis et le filet mignon avec sauce hollandaise au beurre de noisette furent nos coups de coeur! Pour dessert, la crème brulée vanille, noisettes, Grand Marnier a couronné le tout parfaitement! Ambiance décontractée et agréable, service courtois, Nous reviendrons certainement!
